I always want to go to tournaments, but I keep missing my chance. The closest one now is Night Before NEC to me but I'm so scared of joining because all the Melty players already know each other so well. I'd love to go to someone's house on the weekend too, but I always panic, clueless as how to approach them.

I'll try for Knight Slash 6 I guess...

I don't think we'll ever have another iteration of Melty Blood. If there were to be, they could add Phantas-Moon and Magical Amber. When I saw Sion in UNiB, that gave me a little hope for a remake with high-res sprites though.

I tried to communicate with French Bread, in babby level Japanese on Twitter, about the possibility of an HD Melty Blood being released, and they said that it is possible. As for my request to remove Nanaya, they said that if there was an HD release, every character would be ported exactly as they are now.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, I've been to a few tournaments (although it wasn't for melty blood), and even though I have extreme problems talking to people, I was still able to at least exchange some matchup information with my opponents and even ended up getting invited to lunch by a group.

Although I was alone the whole time basically, I never felt out of place or that people were looking down on me. Also most the players for a game like melty would be glad to have a new player to help out, I know for a fact someone like Rokunaya would help you out and I bet hes going to NEC (Pretty sure he goes to the melty threads sometimes)
