Do some people really still feel lonely after a couple years of being a NEET or is this whole loneliness thing just something that weekend NEETs whine about?

I think that the brain is highly adaptable and it adapts to solitude after awhile. I used to feel a bit lonely about six years ago, but it stopped one day. I just don't feel it anymore.

Why not just bring her into reality? Lucid dreaming, meditating on her intensely for hours, possibly throw in some hallucinogens to loosen your grip on reality if you're not having much progress.

I'm lucky enough to be schizotypal so it was relatively easy for me, but I think anyone can bring a 2D friend into reality if they chisel away at their sanity a little.

I don't really think that sanity is something that is carved in stone though, you can always lower it a bit. For example, those people in those old dungeon prisons would go insane all the time. Does anyone else rarely dream in first person?

I almost always see myself in a third person perspective when I dream. It's the same camera angle as most third person RPGs. I rarely hear voices in dreams either, I can remember at least several dreams where all communication took place through a small text chat window like I was dreaming inside of an online game.

The other day I realized that my dreams are mostly some sort of mixture of stuff that has happened lately and left a big impression on me. For example, if I see a bird bumping against my window, I'd probably dream of that. Now, when I say mostly is because there are a few exceptions:
It happens to me every once in a while that in my dream appears a person. Somebody I've never heard or seen before. It can be an old woman, a kid, whatever, the thing is how clearly I can make out this person, no blurry faces or anything. I can hear their voice, feel their breath, their warm, I can even see the slightest wrinkle or pimple in their faces and they all feel so real and lucid. The part that worries me is that these people that appear, are people that I've never ever seen before, and are most likely a product of my imagination. When you try to consciously picture a person's face from scratch in your imagination, it always ends up looking like some Eldritch Abomination, it seems that the brain is just incapable of doing it, but for some reason in my dreams I see people, perfectly normal people created by my subconscious, you could just take them out of my dreams and place them in reality and they'd be just like another human being. This seriously creeps me out sometimes /jp/.

My dreams are usually third person, it sometimes changes though. I don't about you guys, but I also have dreams in Japanese, really started after I started learning the language, before that I might have heard some phrases that I knew but not that often. Now it's full on Japanese, and I sometimes have trouble remembering exactly what was going on when I wake up. It's funny when I wake up though because of what happens, or who's in my dream. One time I had a dream I was hanging out with Ika Musume, and even in my dreams she said things like なイカ, and でゲソ.

Any psychedelic would probably work fine. It'll get you into an altered state of mind that will make it a lot easier to do the abstract and imaginative meditation that this would require, but you will still retain enough control to remember who you are and what you were planning to do.

Deliriants would most likely not help at all. On one hand you might actually see the 2D character that you're trying to bring into reality, but on the other hand you will be so fucked up and confused that it's far more likely that you will have no idea what's going on, completely forget what you were planning to do, and see a bunch of terrifying and unrelated hallucinations for several hours.

I don't have experience with dissociatives so I don't know if they would be beneficial.

Not sure if I remember this correctly but the basic technique is to sit with your back straight first of all. Then you close your eyes.
Focus on breathing in and out through your nose. If you're breathing properly you should have your stomach protrude outwards before your upper torso. Focus on the fact that the air going in your nose is cool and it's slightly warmer once you exhale. Someone deep in focus can have a stick of dynamite go off near them and not even notice. Of course, that's someone at the master level of meditation but we're getting there. Keep focusing on the air going through your nose. Don't let anything distract you. The trick to this is to be relaxed, but to stay alert at all times. A lot of people that do this fall asleep after 10-20 or so minutes of doing this. Stay alert, and pay attention only to the air flowing through your nose. Do this for as long as you feel it's necessary. I recommend at least 10 minutes of meditation every session.
