I like to believe that she was completly devoid of emotions until
>Satori took pity on Koishi, ordering her pets to play with her and giving her some pets to keep as her own. She thought that taking care of the pets might give her a purpose, and it might enable her to begin opening her mind to others again. Indeed, it seemed that Koishi began to change, ever so slightly, after she began to raise her pets.

Why is it that many people want her to reopen her heart and her eye completly?
The way how things are right now seem to be alot better than her being hated for being a mindreader

Things are done in a way, Koishi is a "satori" and as such she has to read minds, Satori knows it and copes with the weight because it's how must be done, also, whatever she has become is not full of anything, just a mirror of what a happy being should be in the same way I could build a robot that simulates human expression while laughing at the same time it produces laughter sound.

It's explained she has no fellings just the memory of them so his body recreates them as I explained above.

I think people misinterpret the things said in her profile.
For example

No one is around -> miss them -> Feel alone.

Koishi's:

That you feel the first, this is what we're arguing about.

Also as you said you often create artificial feelings to feel well with yourself in the same way we all, hope it's all, do because we THINK that feeling nothing about something is inhuman and showing indifference isn't right, Koishi is extreme case of this.

I don't see what's wrong about a blank mind, Byakuren even compliments her on it in SoPM.

I find these claims somewhat weird though...Akyu even says that she has absolutely no mind, but if that is true then how is she able to talk to the heroine in SA?
How is she able to create spellcards?
Spellcards are something you have to put alot of thoughts into to make them meaningful. And how is she able to raise pets in such a state?
The subconscious works in weird ways....

Either way, I love Koishi the way she is as long as she is happy!

I don't know the mechanics behind "heart-closing" but Koishi at some point was a total functional "anthropomorphic being" with a mind similar to a human's.

She has no feeling, only the will to simulate it, that's why when "loves" she does it in such a exacerbate way, it's because she quantifies how much affection with his rational mind instead by the feel itself a normal mind would have, this contrast can be seen to in the way she tells Marisa "I'm giving you a dog death", sympathy is also a feeling she failed to quantify.

I may not love someone but I could simulate it because I have the knowledge about love.

>How is she able to create spellcards? Spellcards are something you have to put alot of thoughts into to make them meaningful.
Where is said you need feelings to make them? Koishi can think.

>And how is she able to raise pets in such a state?
I'd say that she simulates it but seems like she's starting to open her heart in this activity and maybe those feelings are real.

>I love Koishi the way she is as long as she is happy!

The point is that she didn't close her eye to be happy, but to avoid unhappiness. Rather than be unhappy and keep her mind she resigns the last and the unhappiness linked to it.

Pretty much hit a lot of the main points on the mark. Koishi is a tragic character in every sense of the word.

Many fan works portray her as cookie and off the wall because of her ability to truly know any degree of emotion. Koishi is effectively nothingness in a body until she reopens her eye. You can merely see her if she is in front of you, but then she will still feel as if she isn't real.

The only person who can feel her is Satori, but even then only to an extent, (I'm not 100% about Okuu or Orin's relationship when it comes to feeling her).

It is fun to speculate the event she does reopen her eye though, when Koishi ventures to the top of the Moriya Shrine, she met someone there that made her want to open her eye, though she didn't. It's a matter of making her think to open her mind, but that is rather difficult when she has no emotional reasoning to.

I'll make it as easy as possible.

A feeling is a cause.
The action is the effect.

1) I feel love towards you -> This is the cause, love itself.

2) I say I love you, I kiss you on the forehead and rub cheeks -> This is the effect of my love.

This is an example of normal human feel.

Cause -> Effect.

Koishi lacks the cause but she still forces the effect by will of his rational mind alone, trying to create the impression that there's a cause.

>> No.9816584

>>9816510
To put it into layman's terms...Koishi is apathetic, devoid of emotion. If you were to win the lottery you would celebrate and become a permanent NEET. If all your family around you died you would probably cry, feel genuine sadness, become depressed and either suicide or seek some kind of mental help. Emotions include anxiety, arousal, worry, boredom, relaxation, and anything like that.

Koishi can't feel any of this. She simply exists (but in the sense of what we consider existing, she really doesn't). Simulated feelings mean she simply emulates what in her brain, is a certain feeling and how it is conveyed.

When you look at a mother hug her child you know that is love. Someone who couldn't know love themselves, would see that action called "love" and then associate love with acting in manners like that. Said person could emulate the emotion of love, but that doesn't mean they genuinely feel it.

This directly is a resultant of cookie Koishi, she knows the concept of love, but doesn't genuinely feel it, and this leads to her not being able to convey her feelings as we would consider normal (watch KKHTA for cookiness).

I don't think that she is a husk until she reopens her eye.
I believe that the closing of her eye initially made her like that, but with time she is slowly relearning emotions and how to open up to people.
This doesn't means that she needs to completly open her eye since this would bring nothing but unhappiness to her anyways.

I think the doujin "At Chirei" is a good approach for this.
I really don't see how a husk can hold conversations or use danmaku.
