That feel when I was invited to a party today by my personal Obi-Wan at work. It's on saturday.
I'm 21 years old and have never to a party. I've only gone out twice in my entire life and that was just with one friend.
I'm freaking out due to the fact I know I have to go because the people who are there also work at the same place I do and will be insulted. I am astronomically fucked.

I'm familiar with sencha and will likely go with that just so I can start regularly drinking tea again, but I want to eventually branch out into the other types.

I also need to practice my STGs and do my reps(although it's been years since I've done Kana, so I'll most likely have to relearn those as well), but haven't due to the fact that I can't get jack shit done without a planned schedule.

A 24/7 grocery store opened today and I'm super excited to visit it! The building has been sitting with the logo on it for over a year and a half, so hopefully you can see why I'm excited. I hope their meat and produce is better than Wal-Mart's, which is the only alternative 24/7 grocery store. I'm at a loss as to get on my first visit though. I've been NEET for seven years, and have enjoyed every moment so far, and will surely continue to enjoy it in the future. That feel when I guess I'm in training now. The government put me on this program to get me back into work. 16 hours a week just showing up at this shitty store to qualify to receive the same shitty monthly sum that I couldn't survive on anyway.

Yesterday I worked 6 hours. Had to get up at 07:00 to make it in time, and I wasn't home before 16:00, at which point I was tired and let the rest of the day slip away without doing anything rewarding, and also had to go to bed early for the next day.

What I wonder is, how the hell do normals live with this? I already find it intolerable, and I'm far away from working full time. Instead of 5-6 hours a day, I should be working 8, and instead of 3 days a week, I should be working 5. That's just ridiculous. That just leaves a few hours a day plus the weekend to spend your precious little lifetime on something you actually WANT to do.

I'm scared, /jp/. I can just barely get by for now by just taking on one day at a time, but if I try looking ahead at what this path has in store for me, it's soul-crushingly depressing.

That feel when I'm in deep trouble. I used to have a truce with the ant queen that lives in my yard, I stayed out of her territory and she made sure to stay out of mine. Recently she decided to end that truce, and she has been sending soldiers and workers into my domain.

That also seems to make them automatically more relevant to you, but that's just your Western bias. Ancient peoples left less written records naturally due to the time passed and older technology. The impact they had on history, their regions, and future civilizations puts them in a more important position, but you'd only realize that in some thousand of years, since you apparently can only see things from an Eurocentric point, even when Europe has only been really relevant for the last 500 years. You could make a point about the Greco-Roman times, but that would still be an Eurocentric view, as the societies around Mediterranean and the Near East were all mostly relevant since ancient times. Before Rome there were a lot of other empires, as that was the modus operandi since the Akkadian Empire. Either way, it wasn't something European but more a Mediterranean thing.

Hey, everybody, how is life going?

I tried to go outside recently, and it made me remember why I became a shut in in the first place. the outside is just too complicated.

I'll explain: I tried to get a credit card to buy something online, and when the bank tried to mail it to my house the post service lost it. I can't report the card as stolen and request a new one because I don't have the credit card number, so I can't even prove it has been stolen/lost.
I tried to cut my losses, close my bank account and pretend none of this ever happened like I always do whenever something goes wrong, but I found out that you can't actually close a bank account. You have to open a new one first. How the fuck does that make any sense?

Normals must be incredibly patient and tolerant. If I had to deal with stuff like this every day I'd flip the fuck out and shoot up a mall

Yesterday around 11AM I got a really bad pain in my abdomen area. At first I thought it was because I hadn't eaten, so I ate a few Oreos. That really didn't help and the pain got worse and worse until I couldn't sit in my computer chair and I had to get into bed. That didn't really help and it kept getting worse until I passed out. Former NEET shut-in here. Now I'm working on a Computer Science degree. I own my own car, pay my own bills, drive myself to and from any place I need to be, and I absolutely hate all of it.

I don't want love, fame, or power. I just want to play video games, watch anime, and then die one day, satisfied--a simple and easily accomplished dream. Instead, my hand was forced by my family, and now I'm going to be a "success" despite my own unhappiness.

I used to never leave my room, I had a panic attack any time someone talked to me, I was extremely afraid of driving, I dropped out of High School because I was afraid of other people, and I didn't get my GED until I was 20 years old. Every day I looked forward to playing some video game or marathoning anime until I was too tired to stay up any longer. Hell, I'd usually just pause the anime, fall asleep in my chair, and resume it right when I woke up--that's who I was. I was happy, and I loved my life.

I want to stop going to class. I want to hear the alarm clock but not acknowledge it. I want to go on like that for weeks until I'm dropped from my classes; until my reputation is ruined. I'd probably just join the military and do something stupid to get myself killed just so my family could fellate each-other over how much of a "hero" their pathetic, black-sheep turned out to be, and how they were able to "change" him.

I'm doing really well in all of my classes, and my classmates are astonished by this. The material is insultingly simple and yet my should-be peers are wholly incapable of comprehending and remembering it, and I'm disgusted by this. "I'm just some pathetic NEET," I think to myself "for me to be better at this than you is an atrocity." If I dropped out, everyone would think I had some kind of breakdown; like I was too stressed out by everything I had to do, when the truth is that my life is so incredibly mundane and boring right now that I would sincerely rather kill myself than live it. In fact, it's only the dim hope that I'll be able to live like I once did that I continue on like this.
