If NEET blog threads are allowed, certainly work blogs threads should also be allowed, as they actually have more variety, instead of just talking about what time you wake up and stuff. Not that I believe either are otaku culture.

Repost:

Why do normal people work, /jp/? What motivates them? I've always had a huge issue with motivation- Since childhood I never actually had anything that I wanted to work toward, and the only thing that kept me 'trying' (if you could really call it that at that point) in highschool and college was the idea that working then would mean I'd have to work less in a career.

Well, as it turns out laziness doesn't make a very good motivator, and I became a NEET. After a couple years of NEEThood my declining social skills gave birth to full-blown anxiety and I became a hikki.

I wish that when I still socialized I had the chance to ask some of the really bright, hard-working classmates I had what they worked for. I have to wonder if it was really just a matter of them being socially conditioned more successfully than me or if they simply had something I didn't.

i'm sure there's a few people who like to work and a few who want to be useful but the vast majority do it so they can get money. if they didn't have to work to get money so they could buy food or go have fun, they wouldn't. i know i sure as hell wouldn't.

Not to sound edgy but people are literally drones. They are told to do and perform without question, just so long as they have their pizza and facebook to come home to at the end of the day.

I'm the AntiNEET.

I'd kill myself if I couldn't work. It gets worse as I get older. I'd rather go to work than see family or friends, go out and have fun, shit like that.

Pretty much.

I remember when the boss made me take 2 paid days off because I never take time off.

I cried in bed. Just because I didn't know what to do. I spent the next day sitting in my chair, staring at the off TV for like 5 hours.

I was so happy when I could go back.

Easy.

Don't shower.
Wear dirty and/or inappropriate clothes. (anime or Satan shirts are great)
Big thing...act uninterested the whole time. Fidget, look around, shit like that.

And don't shake hands with the interviewer.

Yeah but what do they want the money for? Necessities are one thing, yes, but I don't see someone getting a six-figure job just so they can work for necessities, and on an even greater scale what billionaires hoard their wealth for. I'm sure a very large portion of it is consumerist brainwashing, but it seems unlikely (or rather, unbelievable) that's all it is. However, on the other hand I really can't understand how simple desire for money can drive people to such a degree that it does.

1) Avoid eye contact

2) Cross your arms but spread your legs wide open

3) Scratch yourself a lot. Try not to look fake. Scratch the same place multiple times. Crotch scratches are especially effective but not ultimately necessary.

4) Rub your eyes a lot before going in so your eyes appear bloodshot from drugs or lack of sleep or something.

5) Wear stupid casual clothes like jeans and a t-shirt with extra print. If clothes like that are acceptable then wear really shitty old worn out shoes. Pick up a pair at some thrift store.

6) Say "uhhhhhh" and "ummmm" a lot. If asked about specific skills make up some REALLY stupid bullshit like "i set up my cousins ps3".

7) Inappropriate jokes. If they ask about how good you are with a computer say "i look at internet porn all day haha just joking" and laugh at your own stupid joke.

8) CHEW GUM.

Sure, they have somewhat of a personality and opinions, but ultimately they do what everyone else is doing, and what everyone else is doing is whatever the TV tells them to. So they go out, get a job to buy their iShit, and get a date without even questioning why they do any of that.

"They" is anyone who isn't a hikki to me, I suppose.
For me, personally, I spent my whole childhood in practical isolation, no friends or school or anything. I don't think many people grew up like that.
