Entered Gensokyo a while after the age of exploration ended and everything got mapped out and stuff. She explored Gensokyo twice over, but then got all bummed out when she realized she had nothing left to cover. She's lethargic and depressed for awhile, doesn't leave her house, and starts to wonder if she has a reason to exist anymore, until the present day, when she finds out about the underground somehow. Thus begins the manga.

How many chapters of the fairy manga are there? 16? 18? How many unscanned?

OSP is 18 chapters long. All the chapters are actually translated, but the last three were translated very poorly.
The group who is working on it is ViVid Translations, apparently using translation from Umadscans. Since they were taking too long to release something, someone (I don't know who) translated them. The quality isn't good, but it is better than nothing.

WaHH, the comic I think you're talking about, is scanned and translated as for as it's been released so far (up to issue 12, I think) though the last three chapters were poorly translated by some guy from /jp/. Stopgap, but it works for now.
