Yes. There is a country of dog people and a country of catpeople. Their princess is a white lion.

Theres also a wolf, some rabbits, and a bunch of different breeds of each type of cat and dog.

Now there are squirrels. Most likely there will be a tanuki girl soon.

The wolf girl isnt a white wolf though so she's not really Momiji-like but she has a bigass sword.

This cat character may turn into a nekomata catgirl in the next few episodes.

This pretty much guarantees I would have a shitty time living in Gensokyo. Also I would probably end up living (and by living I mean working all day) in the human village my entire life anyways which sounds worse than my current life of watching anime, playing video games, and masturbating every other hour. Flonyard, on the other hand, has cat girls AND dog girls all over the place and I could probably take it much easier there than in Gensokyo, hell yeah man.

If you went from the real world to Gensokyo through the border, you would be stuck in the Human Villiage and would most likely die by being eaten by a youkai

If you are an outsider that goes to Flonyard, when you get beaten in battle, your clothes fly off. However, if you were born in Flonyard and was just a typical commoner participating in battles, you turn into a animal-ball instead of being stripped.

Nanami and Becky are definitely like Subaru and Teana.

Both are Masaki Tsuzuki shows.

Nanami has Subaru's hair and she can fly around on magical skates.

Ricotta (orange loli dog) has guns that are exactly like Teana's Cross Mirage.

The catgirl princess wears jeanshorts just like Subaru.

Th Biscotti people's magical weapons look like Raising Heart in their standby form (they're these little red jewels on a ring).

None of the weapons talk, at least not yet, so it's kind of sad.

As a Nanoha fan, its really fun to watch Dog Days and see all the similarities. Masaki has been working on Nanoha for like 10 years now, and this is his first anime thats new, so it makes sense that there will be lots of similarities and homages.
