Can someone recommend a good affordable epilator? Something that isn't a $100 Braun?

I tried one of those epistick things and it was more painful and slower than tweezing. Then I bought one of these cheap epilators not realizing it only have one wheel for tweezing, and it takes forever to do my legs. In fact I can't even get all of it and some of the hairs just won't go away.

Yes. Traps "trap". They have penises and don't really mind having them.

Transsexuals truly wish to correct the symptoms caused by a genetic defect (incorrect chromosomal patterns). They would want to correct the genetic defect too, if they could.

The two groups look the same on the outside though.

That's some grade A pseudoscience there. I'd respect you if you just said "I don't like the term trap, I think it's derogatory". But seriously, you didn't have to spout out a bunch of bullshit.

That's not saying very much, though.

(There was a really hilarious interview I read with an ex-transsexual, who said one of the reasons he stopped was because he hated the way hormone therapy caused him to have mood swings and difficulty thinking clearly. I admit that until then I was skeptical, but it sounds like he really did turn into a woman!)

I came out to my parents a year or so ago and their response was pretty simple. They told me that I was wrong and that I wanted to be a man, as if that was their decision to make (or my decision, for that matter).

Every version of the DSM is, and always has been, a book filled with bullshit, and pseudoscience. Something simply being in there, doesn't vouch for it's credibility, and even many psychiatrists themselves, have said that the DSM is bullshit. (How ironic right) They can take any "symptoms" they want, claim that they're caused by a neurological disease, and vote that "disease" it into existence, without any science being involved at all.

There is a fine line between neurological diseases, and "mental illness". A neurological disease is something like Alzheimers, epilepsy, narcolepsy, CJD, Huntingtons, meningitis, down syndrome, etc. A "mental illness", is bullshit like "ADD", "Oppositional defiant disorder", "Paraphillia NOS".

Sorry, but, go show me the biomarkers, indicating that wanting to become a different gender, is actually caused by a neurological disease.

Go to a neurologist, and ask for a physical test, (IE. a MRI, EEG, blood test, etc.) to test to prove whether or not you have "transgender disorder"... I bet he'll get quite a kick out of that.

Your mixing up the words biomarker, etiology, and cause.

You can get physical tests proving you have Alzheimers, you can clearly see brain damage from Alzheimers on a MRI, a very simple neurological exam can tell whether or not your brain is damaged, it's overtly obvious that you have a brain defect.

Even without physical tests, you could undoubtedly prove that it's a neurological disease, because the criterion of symptoms are without a doubt obviously a indication of a neurological disease. If someone goes bat-shit crazy, and soon loses all motor functions, you don't need a MRI to prove there is a neurological disease there.

What do you have though? It's just some guy, telling you that wanting to be a opposite gender in and of itself is a neurological disease, without any proof to verify that.

I don't want them to say "may indicate", "might", or "maybe" anywhere on the paper when stating their "results".

Studying the brain is still relatively new. If people were really interested in studying this there'd be more evidence. But for now it's the best to go on because it's a peer-reviewed study. It seems the only way you can disprove it is if you can find an article that says gender identity caused by something else.

If you don't want weasel words then read the article and looks at the statistics they put in to support their argument.

>> No.8998507

>>8998427
Except you can't really 'prove' things like associations when you take a sample from the population. You can at best acquire statistically significant results, but no matter how statistically significant those results are, you have not "proven" anything, you have just obtained evidence that supports a particular conclusion - evidence that is VERY LIKELY to be valid but could be completely screwed up simply due to random chance and variation. Life isn't like mathematics, you can't just write out proofs for things like this and say 'QED, we've proved it!'
