I'm really happy they picked the members for voice acting based on their ability rather than just popularity in the majority of cases. There's at least one popular girl speaking with what is essentially her normal voice in there though.

Also, I feel that Suuchan would have been better as a tsundere type character (as evidenced here http://youtu.be/QVTiMQadQtQ)) but oh well.

The first episode was better than I thought. I was expecting a generic moe anime like K-ON, but it doesn't seem to be like that at all (thankfully). I rarely watch anime these days, but I thought the CGI at the beginning was pretty well done. I'm looking forward to the next episode.

In any case, you should consider supporting a younger idol next time, so that many years down the line, you can still be obsessing over her. Warota's PV for their new single 「少年よ　嘘をつけ！」 is out, with CinDy and alien idols. The song is quite catchy and CinDy seemed to fit in really well with the group too, which I'm glad about. The lyrics and PV are rather fitting I suppose, if a little odd, since it's the theme song for the Crayon Shin-chan film.

I'm still pretty fucked off about SDN48, too. I mean, they were kinda slutty but their music was fucking top notch. I was just warming to them and then they announced the graduation. Now it's over.

Yeah, I used to really like Yuko but eventually got tired of her. I switched to Acchan around the time Q10 aired but I have always liked her more as an actress than as an AKB member, so the graduation wasn't too big of a deal to me (although she is now exempt from the Renai Kinshi rule, which could turn into a problem down the road...).

I've always been a "casual" idol fan (which is evident by how frequently I change favorites), so I always go for the front girls.The younger ones are usually less known, which means I have to dig deeper to find out more about them. The same applies to most of the non-senbatsu members of AKB. For instance, Satou Sumire and Shimazaki Haruka may be nice to look at, but I hardly know anything about their personalities and can't motivate myself to obsess enough about them to read every blog post or gobble up every piece of information I can get my hands on (mostly due to time constrains and other obsessions). Though seeing someone be as enthusiastic about an idol as you are certainly puts a tear of joy in my eye. I hope for you that Suuchan will never graduate from AKB. ♥

I'm sure that you will come across an idol that you like this much someday. I was a casual fan once too and I just sort of ended up like this, with it all starting with the same "hey, she's cute" thought that you've no doubt had a million times about different girls. I've gone from that to how I am now because I really admire her dedication and seeing her always doing her best, even after repeated rejection, has given me an overwhelming urge to support her. Although she was initially just my favourite auditionee for another group, it's mostly Sumire's determination that made me such a huge fan in the first place, while all her other traits, whether I share them or not, have only made me like her more, but I suppose I do have a few things in common with her, the most obvious of which would be my dress sense I suppose. Those parents would take money from their child regardless of occupation, it's not something which is limited to idols, nor is it 'common' at all.
As for what non senbatsu members earn, it'll likely be no more than your average job would earn. But then you need to look on the plus side, for one they're young teenagers which wouldn't be earning money anyway and there's the prospect of being able to go on to other things or do stuff outside of AKB in the future. It'd certainly be hard work, but I'm sure many would think it beats a typical job. Besides, people in the entertainment industry in Japan aren't generally on *massive* wages since a lot of the money goes to the talent agencies.

I've personally heard some are a bit put off by their level of exposure (too many TV shows, commercials, campaigns etc. taken over by 48), but there's always people who are ambivalent or don't care. It's a big exaggeration to state that most people would dislike them. All the more so for Yasushi, who is a professor at Kyoto university and responsible for Onyanko Club, Kawa no Nagare no You ni, Utaban etc., my impression is that he is generally respected.
