Some time ago I bought several tubes of silicone sealant but failed to notice that one of the tubes was broken. A few days later I tried to use it but the silicone inside was completely cured. I took it out and discovered the dried silicone had conserved perfectly the shape of the tube and that it was very flexible while having a rubbery and nice feeling to it.

Also, silicone sealant is quite durable, so it may be a good material for repeating the cornstarch experiment.
