For some reason even though my eyes are overly sensitive to light and sometimes get so tired that I see everything in two, my actual eyesight is still pretty great.

It's too bad since I've always sort of wanted to wear reading glasses and I still don't have to.

But I didn't get glasses when I last got my eyes checked, and I'm too poor to go see an optometrist again and get them now.

My eyes are immune to the ill effects of extended staring of a shitty pc screen, 8+years have not managed to degrade my perfect vision so far... feeling like no amount of monitor staring is gonna ruin them...

My current pair I got from a random clothing website that had two pairs of nonnative frames in their 'accessories' section and no other glasses on site. I used to wear contacts more often but now that I rarely leave the house I stick with these 4~ year old glasses.

I should wear glasses, because my vision is terrible, but I always cheat the vision chart, so I've never actually had them. Not being able to read the board did make high school difficult at times, though, especially when teachers would write quiz questions there.

I used contacts for something like... one year. Shit SUCKS. It makes wind completely RAPE your eyes, and air conditioners make them hurt so fucking much you can't even stay on the room.

Yet, I was stupid enough not to give up on them. I thought I would get used to it.
Sure; by the end of that year the contacts gave my left eye a so fucked up infection that it still doesn't lubricate correctly to this day.

I asked my eye doctor about just how bad my vision was. Asked for the exact measurement and everything. It's kind of shocking when you hear that you have 20/400 in one eye and "can count numbers" in the other. The second one means that I can't even see the big fucking E clearly even though I know what it is so he had to hold up some fingers at that distance to see if I could count them.
