Actually, I have no idea how you came up with obscure. Madoka Magica is incredibly popular in Japan. Not only the anime but the game too, selling out out in many places on the day of its release. It's a popular anime on 4chan and gets a lot of things translated. Not many VNs or games get translated, much less starting from the release date. That's largely due to its popularity.

I think I've grown tired of this game after Mami's route. There isn't enough variation in a route to interest me in playing.

Madoka's is linear. Mami's splits only at the end, and only has 2 endings. Neither of which are happy. Sayaka's only splits into 2 as well, and if I can't get her to have a happy end where she hooks up with the guy she likes then I don't want to play it.

You don't have enough control over what happens. It's a visual novel. Take advantage of that. Instead it is a linear story with boring easymodo dungeons, until near the end where it splits into only a couple ends.

The way the game was described it sounded like via QB's choices and the QButton, you could control whether someone becomes a which or not, whether they contract in the first place, etc.

But it's just stuff like, Mami will either become a witch or not depending on how muddied her soul gem is in her route. Which, really, all I have to do is make a save and choose whether or not I want to use a Grief Seed before the split. Meaning all the dialogue choices, choices of which character I talk to, etc are all pretty irrelevant.

I guess what I'm saying is, the game is boring. There is no incentive for me to play a route start to finish, nor to explore multiple dialogue options.

You don't really have to use time stop. I just attacked, then moved to the next platform when the enemy charges.Just keep yourself within 1 move of the jump icon thingy so if it charges you can easily get out of there.

Personally, I was dissapoionted with quite a few things in this game. Just those touchups that would make it perfect instead of a cashgrab(Which is arguably the intention behind releasing this, since Staffers(don't remember who) discussed making a game when ep. 2 aired.).
