Ran is also a 9 tailed fox, so she's basically a diety, for what being a shinto deity is worth. Although I don't remember them being depicted as physically strong. Actually they're more about illusions and possession.

Could Ran beat Batman in a fight? I don't think she could, honestly. She lacks the cunning and adaptability to deal with him.

Not quite, some power levels have been shown, most notably Yukari's control over everything and that somehow being weaker than Shiki.

One thing people do forget is that mere mentions of a character's abilities does not mean they can be compared to another touhou's power unless there's a canon comparison like the above one, otherwise people would just assume Yukari could hax Shiki too.

There's a difference between ''power'' and ''abilities'' in this case. Not to mention there's no direct kind of power connotation or measure in Touhou, Ran is a shikigami which means she cannot be stronger than her master and her amount of strength is based on how much her master is disapproving of her, to the point of becoming a fox (and getting kicked several times) when Yukari was angered at her disobedience in BAiJR.

The other point, Ran does not have the ability to manipulate everything's boundaries so she's much lower on the scale.

Please give me the exact quote that states Shikieiki is stronger than Yukari. Because, if I remember correctly, Yukari just says she doesn't want to mess with her or something along those lines, and that doesn't prove Shikieiki is stronger, Yukari probably just doesn't want to go through the trouble and lecturing that Shikieki would give.

Shikieiki is an immortal judge of the dead. Yukari is a mortal being. Yukari cannot be stronger.

Yukari is not mortal. She has the boundary between life and death wrapped around her finger. That means that she can be immortal whenever she wants to be, and for however long she pleases.

After all, the definition of Touhou immortality is essentially "being neither alive nor dead." You just have to escape the boundary.

Shikieiki is a cunt for being so black and white about things.
However, that's mainly in fandom, so it's hard to say what she really is.
Still don't like her though.

At this point, its hard to say who is stronger of the shikigami masters, Yukari or Shikieiki since they had no direct involvement with eachother.
