I play for the homing amulets

I always play the "third" new girl if they have one. Like Sakuya or Sanae.

Nah, I play Marisa since she is western like me. I dont want to play some jap girl.

The japanese would do the same via playing as Reimu and not Marisa for similar reasons.

She is overpowered both in game and in canon.

I always play Reimu, usually homing. I think I've become to accustomed to it...
I play Sanae if I can, though.

I play around with all of the characters each time I play. I'll 1cc with one character first just to have stage practice unlocked. Then I'll grind out the patterns I have troubles with.

But yes, my first 1cc's are usually with Reimu.

I always use Reimu, except in PCB where I use Pine-tree shooting Marisa.

Needle Reimu > Homing Reimu.

Are the Reimu endings actually the canon endings?

Would ZUN be mad at me if I said that the Marisa endings are the canon ones?

How does homing Reimu compare to needle Reimu on bosses, damage/time wise?
Needle obviously does more damage, but you need to be under the boss to hit them, and you can't just stay there when there's bullets flying everywhere. On the other hand, homing does less damage, but always hits the boss. So...?

Needle is better if you know how to play shmups. Homing is for people that actually dodge bullets, but you should be playing in a way that makes the bullets dodge you instead.

I always use needles, it reminds me of the old console shmups and it looks classic and the needles satisfyingly grind themselves into the enemies when they hit. Homing amulets are meh and make me feel weak in challenge, too bad I was forced to use them mixed with needles in TD.

I play the third characters because they usually have the most fun shot type. Like TD Youmu. Or Remi in IN. TD Youmu, you're the shot type I've always dreamed of, never leave me.

Why not just have Homing Needles?

Generally, Marisa's ending in UFO is canon since we know it leads directly to the Extra. On the other hand, the Moriya people helping Byakuren "build" their temple is also canon. Byakuren visiting Reimu at her shrine, I don't think that's impossible either.

I recommend downloading MAME and practicing the entire second loop of DoDonPachi Dai Ou Jou for at least an hour every day. You'll probably die a ton practicing the first couple of days, but it'll certainly teach you how to play shmups.

Do you have any proof? I heard a while ago that Shiki's route was the canon one but I never found out why.

In SDV Reimu appears solving the PoFV incident, is there any evidence that denies this?

PoFV wasn't an incident that Reimu could solve. It would just solve "itself" after some time. What happens is that everyone fights (nearly) everyone else and is in the end lectured by Eiki. Then, in her Extra, she comes to see if they did what they were told.
