Stop. It was close to a full length episode, the animation was decent and the art had it's charm. It wasn't made in a professional studio, so you shouldn't be expecting modern quality work. It's a doujin anime, and was made in someone's room on their own PC at best. You could be at least a bit more thankful.

I loved the first Memories of Phantasm, but I have to admit the breast sizes in this promo are a bit ridiculous, namely Sakuya, Sanae, and Yuugi. Sakuya didn't even have breasts that big in the first OVA. Sanae's are way too big for her, and Yuugi...What the fuck were they thinking? I can't take Yuugi seriously. I mean, I don't really mind if Yuugi has big breasts as I don't really like her anyway. But what they did to her is just silly and distracting.

I figured Yuugi's were bigger because they do the press comparison in the still post-video shots and Yuugi is grinning while Kanako is angry.

Anyway, I think Yuugi's breasts are huge because they're a reflection of her. Yuugi is silly, so her chest is silly. They exist as a gag, designed to remind the viewer to have fun and not take everything so seriously, just like how Yuugi herself lives.

I watched it last night with the fandub. It was pretty cool though I don't like them shoehorning Sanae into the end of the PCB storyline.The Danmaku fights were really pretty.

The personalities of the characters were actually pretty accurate, though Marisa spent a bit more time being frustrated than how I'd picture her. Her voice was pretty cool, sort of tomboyish.

To be honest, there are ways to distinguish Touhous from one other even they are without their hats. That is, if you are proper Touhou fan with some experience and know how characters are usually portrayed.

For example, both Marisa and Yukari have long blonde, curly hair, and often yellow/brown eyes. Does this mean that they're indistinguishable if you take of their clothes? Not really.

I won't lie, the Hot Springs thing puts me off. What people? I like Touhou for the cast and the flexibility of genre. I can appreciate a moe slice of life type of Touhou with fan service just as much as a grimdark Touhou or a lolrandom comedy. It works perfectly in any genre.

I personally do enjoy the franchise for the fact that it can be a nice break from a lot of the generic elements that overrun japanese anime and gaming, despite being set in a magical world with an entire cast of magical girls.

I say "can" though, because with fanworks there will always be different settings and different elements. But I also enjoy that flexibility, so it's fine, and I don't expect all fanartist to cater to me. I'm not horribly bothered by the bathing scene(s), especially since these kind of scenes was pretty much expected if you look at the format and the style of the OVA to begin with. This circle caters to larger audiences and isn't trying to make a perfect or unbiased retelling of the games, so I won't expect that.

Besides, they do open an hot spring resort in SA. So it's not like they just put it there for no reason at all.
