I used to sort by name back when I originally started saving images from 4chan many years ago. I have since abandoned that huge mess of a folder and made a whole new one.

As a fellow /jp/er, I seriously urge you to start sorting. Just make a Touhou folder and name another folder in it "Okuu." It's easy. Might seem small at first, but all the new folders will quickly grow. Seriously, do this now. You will thank me later. Naming every single image will get tedious and as you folder gets over 20 gigs and is completely unsearchable and takes long to load, you will regret not sorting your images. Just do it. If not for me, or you, at least do it for the Touhous.

Do this for porn and all other boards too. I also recommend have a "throwaway" sub folder in each normal folder, for images you have an urge to save but seem lacking in quality. This way your normal folders won't be filled up with junk and clutter, but just quality pictures while anything else gets put in the throwaway folder.

I organize my Utsuho images in 3 ways.

If it's badass, I name it Utsuho#.#

If it's cool but not cool enough to fit with the others above, I name it Reiuji#.#

If it's none of the above, I name it Okuu + (word related to the image).

Lewd images go into another folder, that folder contains every other Touhou as well, doesn't include doujins.

How do you guys handle group images? I have a significant amount of redundancy in my folder, because I treat group images as images of the individual characters. For example, if it's an Okuu and Orin pic, I have two copies of the image, one in the Okuu folder and the other in the Orin folder. Redundant, I know.

Also what program do you use to search and weed out duplicates?

I just have a folder for the Komeiji Family in general. Any two members or more of the Komeiji Family get put into there. Otherwise, pictures of them solo have their corresponding character folders. Also, any Komeiji Family member with one other character that is unaffiliated with them gets put into a "Pairs" folder. And lastly, I got a "Group" folder for 3 or more Touhous.

I noticed that there's a shitton of worthy Utsuho images on Pixiv that haven't made it to Danbooru for some reason. Also the fact that Danbooru has tags with LOTS of doujinshis/Pixiv multi-images which doesn't give the actual number of proper Okuu single images.

There's 27483 Okuu pictures on Pixiv, and that's only the tag that has the highest number of images, since there are hundreds and even thousands of images with tags regarding Utsuho that aren't this one (空 東方).

If that's Nandaka's pixivdownloader, he also has one that works with danbooru that has a batch mode, its also easier to work with since it has a UI rather than just a script. Mind you Danbooru and gelbooru have query limits, so you might have to split it up in to parts.

Mind you, it should go without saying to keep it slow going, if pixiv or dan/gelbooru find you're using too much bandwidth, they can block your IP

I think I'm going to get this printed. It's high resolution and has great attention to detail, so I think it would look good framed on a wall. Sadly there aren't too many like this of Okuu otherwise I'd plaster my entire room with them.

Does anyone know if there is some sort of, automatic saucenao or reverse google image search software for batches of images? I doubt there is though... wondering because I lost pretty much everything on my computer years ago due to hdd no longer readable, the only things I still had left was my pic folders and a good bit of my music folder on a 64GB zune hd, only thing is every picture was re-sized to have a vertical height of 480 or smaller. For obvious reasons, I don't post any that I don't get the full sized version for.
