I have a cat, which I love. Problem is, she doesn't really give a shit about me. How can show her my feelings? I've heard cats groom each other as a sign of affection, so I've though of doing that. Any thoughts? Anyone try that with their cat?

A cat is an animal in the feline family which shares a common ancestor with lions and tigers. It is said that lions spend 20 hours a day sleeping.

Give her food, cuddle her and play with her.

That is all a cat will ever want.

>> No.8188830

Sex her up.

>How can show her my feelings?
Kill her.

Cats love being killed.

Remember Elmira from Tiny Toons? The more affection you give cats, the more annoyed by you they are. She will let you know when she wants affection from you by rubbing against your legs and such. Pet her and play with her until she is content, but when she's done playing, it's best to let her be, or she'll become irritated with you.

It's a cat. Cats don't care for their owners. Light your cat on fire and buy a dog.

Should have got a male cat. They're much friendlier from my experience.

Give it catnip. Cats love catnip. My cat that I had since I was a kid died of cancer recently and I hated myself for never getting around to giving him catnip. :(

dogs care about you only as long you feed them, pal.

>> No.8188936

Pet her often, give her attention, but respect her space. Despite popular belief, cast are VERY different personality-wise. I've got a cat that will sit on my lap no matter what and purr and show all sorts of affection, and I've got another that is more of a loner.

Pet her, cats are pretty obvious about how they do and don't like to be petted. Follow her lead, basically. Some cats show companionship just by simply being in the same room. An old cat of mine would always sit in the same room as me, even if it wasn't close. Always offer your hand for her to smell first, don't be too forward if she's finicky. I don't know how your cat is, but do it slowly if she doesn't recieve well at first, being too pushy to pet or hold her will just make her afraid of you. People misunderstand cats because they are not as often as in-your-face as dogs (some are, though). Give her attention and she'll give you it in return.

Cats care about you only as long as you... Oh yeah, they don't care about you.

>> No.8188982

Cats have no real feelings of affection-your cat would hardly care if you were replaced with anyone else.

He is wrong I can vouch for that because I have raised my cat on the very day he was born. we are inseparable and he always fallows me around and licks my nose and sits on my lap and generally loves me.

>>8188906
Now you are just being silly. I love dogs just as much.
>>8188982
Yes he would. every time I have to go to class my mom would tell me how he would never stop meowing until i came how. even to this day when i come home i would hear him trotting up to the door to see me.
