I was more curious what mods you used for the girls.

NJXA v.2 for that elf girl. Don't remember the name of filename of the other girl's body (it is stuck in that facial expression). BG characters use many different ones.
Unfortunately this is one of the very few sets of clothes available for njxa bodies. Oh, and now that a body mod finally got some traction, they decided to split it between a "v1", a "v2" and a "now with actual breasts" version. Great idea as a 3DCG fan I definitely don't enjoy aimlessly playing dress-up so I love having 20 incompatible bodies.

I guess a hardsave would be a better answer than "I dunno".
(The other character's save is too big for this board, the body and clothes being high-poly, so I won't bother uploading elsewhere unless someone asks)

manticore(modeller of most of the really awesome MMD touhou models) made a version of luka. it's probably the best luka model i've ever seen, although i suppose there's something about its face that isn't really to my preference.

You can convert various animations found online to VMD format, but it's a little complicated so I won't go into it.

There was actually going to be a troll erotic-MMD cup, but the day it was supposed to happen the quake occurred. There's probably some cosmic force that shields MMD from outright eroticism.

I tried applying the beta /jp/ modpack to a mostly fresh 3DCG from a few years back and the majority of the extra bodies show up as completely transparent, barring the face in a few cases.

Was there some extra stuff I had to download or is it a different problem?

I normally dislike models with lips, but this is amazing(well, for MMD--MMD has always been a little sloppy with expressions). The movement of the lips is by far the most smooth I've ever seen on an mmd model. I don't know if the model's lips naturally move like that or if the person who made the video just worked very hard on making them look natural(It's a Windows 100% model, so I don't have it).

Yes, there are plugins available for that. you should be able to find something for blender, at least, if you ctrl+f "Blender" on the XPC uploader. It imports and exports .tso files.

I think I'm going to make an attempt at learning at least some basic Blender myself soon. I just wish I felt better most of the time so I'd have the energy/will to do it...

How complex of an animation can you make in the animator creator? Is it just simple poses or actual animations?

If by animation creator you mean something like TMOComposer, it's more or less just pose joining.

if you mean MMD, then you can do whatever you want, but the models may not look good out of the box since TDCG uses special shading techniques that aren't converted.

Hi, guy who uses mmd as a fancy pose mode there.
If you remember my process, it involves exporting a lot of oversampled pictures and compositing them. I used to use a ahk script, but I decided to look for a less cumbersome way. There is a good one.
Most likely nobody cares, but no harm in documenting it.
1. Set the resolution to the largest your card can handle. You probably want something like 2.5x the target size.
2. Export all your frames as a movie. Default settings, 30 fps, AVI raw.
3. Download a static build of ffmpeg http://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/
4. Put ffmpeg.exe in the directory with your movie
5. Windows > run > cmd
6. cd path\to\directory\with\movie
7. ffmpeg.exe -i movie.avi -f image2 frame-%04d.png

Yes, there are multiple ways. You can ask if there is something specific that you'd like to target, but I'm not going into any depth as usually the other person never responds.

Put simply, the main ways are doing light modelling(texture replacing, changing lighting values etc), replacing model parts with better ones, and using effects. It's not too difficult if you have someone to hold your hand or if your'e a good modeller, but it should go without saying that the better you are at modelling/effects the better result you'll get.

This is a shader effect for MMD made to mimic toon shaders. If you try applying it to your model in MMD you may find it looks closer to what you see in TDCG.

I'm not going to test it much myself since it's kind of pointless for me, but it does seem closer to TDCG for a freshly converted model. Don't expect it to mimic newer techniques like the NJXA's, though.

Not that poster, but I assume it's just a second model dreesed as a guy. Try searching the mod catalog for "boy" or "boy body".

For actual male mods, search the catalog for "male" or "male mod".

You can put these two ideas together with a utility called "girl2man" which will convert a model into a male model the game can use. It's MODS0875 for the 3DCG Craftsmen's Guild Uploader (link is on the wiki).
