I only play this game on my days off. I get excited the days before I play it. I generally dont take care of business the day before to build up some steam. I then play it for about 5 or 6 hours. Sure makes me enjoy my weekends. I do hope they release an expansion for this game. Penis clipping completely kills all the atmosphere. AA is the first game from Illusion where they managed to completely remove it. Every game before they relied on the excessive mosaics to do the job for them.

Installing a mod that removes this feature undos all the progress they have made.

I got something rather strange out of the whole thing. I installed the mod manually then I saw the terrible clipping it caused. Then I removed the mod. The game did not revert back to the original state, rather I ended up with a strange cylinder cock, looks like the cock you would imagine Pinocchio to have. story translation is the translation of the dialog in to english.

make2 is the program that decrypts the files allowing them to be modified.

applocale is for morons who dont know how to use windows.

HF Patch contains most utility mods, such as Cold Personality, AAXPlay, Random Romanji names, ect. Even the English translations.

AppLocale installer adds the ability to "Run in Japanese Locale" to your right-click, allowing you to play this game and many other Japanese games without having to switch your Locale.

Story Translation is the last translation for the dialogue I have on my computer.

Make2Decrypt unpacks the .pp files so you may replace their contents and mod the game.

You need to do it with Story Translation to get the files in the game. Just go into AA/data, look for the .pp file that matches the name of the folder in the Story Translation .rar (something like jcep5 or whatever) and drag that .pp file into the Make2Decrypt. You'll get a folder named after the .pp, and you replace those with the files in the Story Translation .rar.

The hongfire patch allows you to boost the relationship between NPC-NPC (up to 3x, which helps since they interact in a rate much slower than the player does) and allows you to control if they will be nude or not during the talks and h scenes. That's it though, for a game of this caliber I don't think you'll find much else for AI or Gameplay, only visual or animation stuff.

Sexual. Means which characters they will be attracted to, and how skilled they are when it comes to making babies. Low skilled and low sensitivity means they won't feel a thing and won't be able to reach ahegao or give others ahegao.

Well some are and some aren't.

Like there is an athletic ability which determines running speed and who will win in a fight. Academics is just how one does int school and helps attract certain personality types. However there are other factors too. Someone on track will always run faster than those not on it, and someone with low athletic ability in kendo will win fights against those with high ones regardless.

Skill is sexual skill, as in those with high skill can get their partners into the red bar and those with low can't. Those with higher skill tend to make their partner happier. Sensitivity is just how quickly the bar fill up for them.

Virtue is faithfulness and, well virtue. Low virtues will be sluts and fuck anyone, accept confessions all around, and cheat. High virtues will be hard to confess to or have sex with, especially at school, but will never cheat or do anything romantic with others when they are in a relationship. High virtues will also only get fully naked at home.

Preferences are a whole different matter. There is a point system and having certain things gives more points. An NPC is more likely to talk to or accept confessions with those it has more points with. Having a certain personality gives points. Having it in the middle for physical traits gives points for either or, while having it on one side, say with glasses, only gives points to those with glasses. It also affects who they become friends with too, so it affects the same gender.
Some are tricky though. From what I understand from the Japanese wiki, having a preference for shortness if the character is female gives points to the shota type, but not the normal type even though they are the same height. And liking big breasts means the breasts must be around 90 or higher. It doesn't affect males but affects females in their choice of friends.

You DID read the guides, right? If not, do kindly get the fuck out.

The percentages aren't general mood.
As in they are reset every time you talk to them. They don't build up. They show how much they liked the current action you did with them. So they only reflect that one action. Note that the more they like you the more receptive and positive they will be towards your actions, hence bigger percentages.

So let's say you ask someone to go somewhere with you and they give a 300%. That means they really liked going somewhere with you. Let's say you tell them to go away and they give a 0%. They hated that action. Usually around 100% is good. Like ask they about studying and they give a 115%, that's pretty good.

You use the statue outside the school to gauge how much people like you. You can also ask how they are feeling and how they talk to you to determine how much they like you.

Also, don't use the same action twice in the same period on someone as after that they will start giving negative responses. And if you use the same action on one person more than twice in the same day, the percentages will go down for that day and they will stop liking said action. So don't do the same thing over and over.

The eyes of characters also follow you if you press space and move them around while talking.

Its not an easy game to mod. Ive looked through the files. Also the file structure is more complicated than with most games as well.

Its got some mods but all the mods take a lot of time to make. The UI is not set up to handle additional content so any new content has to replace old content.

I cant tell you how well its done in Japan. But as for Hongfire and 4chan its very popular. Easily the best game Illusion has managed to make.

yeah, what was it... 64 vs 16? Overwhelmingly slanted in favor of the male, but that's a better ratio than most games out there that completely chuck it.

On a side note. Straight sex in illusion and other 3d games is what made me avoid males from my AA class. Trying to find a good camera angle where the male doesn't block the view or start clipping led to many freaky moments of floating eyes and teeth flashing through the camera lens.
