So I had that interview today, there was like 30 other people there, oh well.
I'm pretty damn proud I was able to go outside and muddle through an interview.
I thought the people would be horrible but they were really nice.

I got desperate and started making shit up about work experience (Ive never worked a day in my life) but nothings changed so far. it's frustrating
Maybe they don't believe me?

Yes, it was in the middle of some giant Hall, it was completely open and public too. I did feel really awkward, when I walked in this man just told me to have a seat and wait to be called. I was sat on this chair sweating and super nervous for like 30 minutes until a lady shouted my name, I then went over and sat down at a table with 3 other people. I found it really creepy how they were just sitting there staring at me, they were waiting for me to introduce myself and I just sat there silent for like 2 minutes before the lady made a joke.

I once applied for a under the table job that paid 400 USD a month (45 hours a week)
they called me back and told me to go the group interview
when I got there there were at least 200 people. Not joking. there was a park in front of the office, it was full of people waiting to get interview. most of them were in their 40s and had college degrees and decades of work experience

I said fuck it and went home

I felt like it, but I had already gone inside the Hall and there was a man stood at the door letting people in. It would have been super awkward to do a 360 and ask him to let me back out.

They're usually pretty good judges of character ad can tell when you're lying, they always have this look where their eyes just bore right through your soul. No word of a lie, even if you're not socially awkward and are a good candidate, that look is terrifying.

I spent most of yesterday convincing myself that I had to take matters into my own hands instead of waiting to get some kind of help with my social anxiety, and a few more hours this morning to gather up the courage to actually go and ask at a place I heard they needed someone ....Only to be told that they already hired someone.

Interviews are hell, especially when you know there is competition.
Don't let a large group of people intimidate you.
Not all of them are always there for the same job. Most times there in the same boat as you, their are looking for a job after all.

I've been interviewed and given interviews numerous times.
Even people that 'look' as if their perfect for the job will FUBAR the interview.
If you're worried about lack of experience then go to school or volunteer.

NEET by choice by here currently, I have rejected 2job offers because of shitty pay.
I never never have problem getting a job. Just keep going to as many interview as you can. My success rate is about 1/3 in.

Age and experience are not always a plus, there really is a thing as 'overqualified'.
A lot of jobs that a company doesn't fill in-house are usually entry level positions (unless their look for some with a specific degree/skill).

"overqualified" is just a excuse they use when they don't want to hire you because they want to give the job to a friend or a relative.

a person who has work experience will fuck up less than a person who doesn't.

there really is no such thing as "overqualified"

There is, I give you an example.

A recent applicant for a security position at a company I work for had 10+ years as a police officer along with military, first aid training, and integration experience.
while this person seems like the perfect person for the job it was decided that he may be intimidating to the customers and was deemed overqualified.
