Kay so i havent ever really been on /jp/ but i know you guys like some game called touhou alot. Anyways my asian friend gave me a version called perfect cherry blossom on a flash drive. So i play it. How come this game got so poplar, its sopposed to be like amazing but its just a reskinned arcade game with a lot of bullets and cute anime girls. Am i missing something?

Not OP here. I've been attempting to play through them in order. After many attempts beat Highly Responsive to Players. Couldn't beat 2. I beat the third one quite easily. Fourth one I lost on the final boss on Easy. WTF. How the hell are you supposed to beat these games?

This, the PC-98 games are pretty much only for those who have played and conquered the Windows games on Lunatic and shit. Maybe with the exception of Touhou 1 and that's because it's more of an Arkanoid-like game than a shooter.

The PC-98 games are just an eyesore due to incredibly out of date graphics, and poor emulation. They're not that hard. Hell mystic square is practically a windows game otherwise.

Also, don't feel bad if you can't beat them on easy. Part of the appeal of Touhou is because these games are DIFFICULT. As in, you have to be an extremely obsessive otaku or a Korean to beat them. I'm very big about Touhou and yet I've been practicing my ass off just to clear Imperishable Night on normal, and Imperishable is the easiest of the lot.

I can barely use properly Imperishable Reimu/Yukari's centuries-long deathbomb window, now imagine how clearing PCB on normal...

And besides, my favorite tends to be Marisa, since her shots are usually more concentrated and thus they don't spread their firepower as they travel upwards.
