Newbies:
In the character creation room, go to the guy in the corner and right-click him. He'll ask you for a hearth secret; enter 'Lemuria'. A set of stairs to our village will then appear in the corner. Aokigahara is Voile's older village, the village where you spawn is called 'Hinamizawa'. It is recommended you read some beginner's guides when starting.

Haven and Hearth is a crappy game that is pure grinding and shit along those lines.

>> No.7661625

>>7661599
Except the grinding has been completely removed several months ago. The game now has a system that gives you LP over time for having certain items in slots in your character sheet. Repeatedly doing the same action doesn't give you any LP; you only get LP the first time you do something.

Hinamizawa:
We have been visited by SilkRoad today. They are a small friendly Russian village, and they are afraid of us because we outnumber them (there are only 5 of them). We have received lots of gifts from them, and they have laid a foundation for our village claim. They are very helpful; please don't disrespect them. They also managed to break down the palisade of the abandoned village, so that's their territory now; don't raid it.

Yeah, because in MMORPGs without full PVP players never grind, right? Oh, wait...

And get rid of the bots? You must be kidding. If it's grindable through crafting or some other non-situation-dependent repeatable action, then it will be botted to hell and back.

The point I'm making is that it won't benefit anybody by doing so, not in a PvP sense, since there would be no PvP on these supposed private servers.

Bot all they want, they wouldn't really be ruining anybody's fun. The population would be fairly small, so some asshole botting and taking up a large amount of good resources won't affect anybody with a map as big as world 4 was.

The only time bots bothered me was when they deforested. Why were they botting for that? PvP purposes. Nobody would bother botting the game if there's nobody's fun to ruin.

Most players won't be able to reach you if there's a palisade. They'd need to build a battering ram right outside the palisade and wait 12 hours for it to dry (during which you can destroy it). The really weak players can't even steal from a claimed area at all.

If you're talking about the Aokigahara "protectors", though, not even a brick wall is going to keep them out. They're the equivalent of max-leveled characters in other MMOs, strong enough to destroy a palisade with bare hands. If necessary they'd just quickly construct a battering ram and protect it properly, or raft a battering ram over there. There's a reason why true hearth vaults have many layers of brick.

I see that place asa good training ground since there will be a lot of trees and much still around it and its free to come/go with they keys..

Once and a while we will need some more people with certain skills so could send a village invite and I or a frind could travel down to destroy the HF

If you don't want to start over, try to pinpoint your location on the worldmap located here: http://algeralith.info/HavenMap and show us so we can either map out a route for you. After that, start saving up for a Palisade to protect you. To destroy a Palisade that's on a claim, they need Vandalism (50k LP, requires Trespassing and Theft) and either over 500 strength or a battering ram (which is expensive to make, requires 24 hours to dry and can't move very far before breaking again; repairing takes another 12 hours). Still thinking about joining you guys. But considering the drama you already went through there compared to my almost boring hermit life (aside from that village just north of me. Someone from there killed me on my very first day...), I'm not so sure if I want to...

well there's a way to play around those, there's a way to counter everything. My suggestion is setup multiple claims like security levels and give out permissions accordingly, back it up with palisades&bricks if you have to. I'd also recommend setting up a stash spot - someplace small but ultra secure far away from the city. It's advisable for the chieftain to set one up and let other people know OF it but not let anybody know where it is at all and if you're worried about the chieftain grieving you then you're probably the person other people should be afraid of. I see this all the time, the most paranoid person is the person who is to be the least trusted: share and share alike -- fucking simple.

I have set a claim just inside the cave since I don't want any bothers with the steel making, as someone accidentally reset a bar.

Everyone has trespassing meaning that they can walk through it without any problems, but all things within that blue square cannot have things taken from them without theft. If anyone takes from them, we will know who they are.

I'll probably keep this system, adding more privileges when I don't have the steel to worry about, this way we don't have outsiders bothering us until we have a wall in the cave.

The irony would be if the person who made that is the one who sealed the corner post.

Ares needs to get back over here to help us knock a post down to remak and make a gate.

>> No.7692079

So...as far as I can tell, we need 4 people with 169+ strength to break it ;_;
Maybe we should just make another set of cornerposts in front of this one and build a gate between them?

>> No.7692129

>>7692079
That seems to be the tacitly agreed upon solution thus far, though breaking a post would be far cheaper.

I'm still making the last of the steel required to make the gate, then we can work on it, it will require 675 bricks, 20 wrought iron, and 5 steel to finally complete the wall, hopefully we can do this. I'll start mining to get the wrought iron made some time later today.
