Just mirror all the files in it, using the same directory structure - Firebug will show you all the requests it makes when you run it, which will give you the filenames and paths. There's the swf file, the XML file with the actual script in it, a flat file with character names, and the images.

...but since Flash actually tries to make HTTP calls to retrieve the files, it has to be on a server somewhere. I'm pretty sure I've tried to replay it from the local filesystem and it failed, but the same copy worked if I served it out of a local Apache instance. Kinda sucks for archival purposes if you don't have a local webserver installed.

I personally just find it cool that they went to the trouble of creating some fairly deep explanations for how all their 'science' works.
They really didn't have to since a great deal of it is used solely in the backstory and hell, hymnos could have just been a gibberish language but every time it's used it can be translated to something that makes sense in context.
It all just combines to make the world feel bigger and more authentic than most game worlds.

What doesn't make sense to me is that As of 3774 Horus only has 3 years to live, yet the Tilia drama CD takes place in 3782, 8 years later. Tilia also says that Sol Cluster had been destroyed 3 years earlier, in 3779. Both of which are well after when Horus is supposed to die.

Horus is the origin of land and was in danger of dying because the grathnode inferia had ripped up nearly all the land and turned it into the sea of death. Just read this and that assumption would appear to be correct. This is a Q&A done by Akira Tsuchiya, the dude whose name goes under 'total command' among other things in all the games' credits.

"Shalanoire was weakened, but she was saved from disappearing in the nick of time by the revival of the planet. Her return to health is indicated by the return of greenery around the planet. Any wills that have completely disappeared can't be revived."

Shalanoire (or Saranoyomei) was the will assosciated with life in regard to plants. If her return to health is indicated by the return of greenery around the planet than Horus' would clearly be signified by the disapearance of the sea of death and the restoration of the land.

3774 AD for the record is the year metafalica was created which is two years before AT3 begins.
Many things are not said outright or explained exactly as desired in game or in the supplementary material, there are quite a few msitakes due to misunderstandings and mistranslations. Cocona's age in 3 is a fairly strong and simple example.

Rorona is almost a 'restart' on the Atelier line with a strip back to the core gameplay and very little extra. Time management is the absolute critical thing of Rorona and as a result, it's probably got the most strict time management requirements of all the Atelier games if you want to get as much done as possible in a single run through.

The actual combat system is extremely bare bones and the intention was actually just to have something simple, quick and does the job. The emphasis is the ingredient collecting and item synthesis which is why there's only HP in Rorona's battles. no MP or LP or whatnot.

If you want to play Rorona, one method would be to play the game without any guides and just enjoy it for the first playthrough, then grab a guide and hunker down for all the pain in nailing all the endings.

It's not a see-through dress. Like many 3D engines, non-terrain objects get increasingly transparent as they get closer to the screen, so you don't get the disorienting effect of foreground objects suddenly popping up right in front of the camera and blocking your whole view.

With more work you could probably make it so that the alpha effect doesn't show the insides/other side of the object model, but GUST is too small a company to be able to afford to go that far and the unintentional fanservice the effect provides is fairly appropriate for the game anyway.

First off, I'd like to thank you people for introducing me to a great series of games. I actually ended up finding my waifu.
As a token of my gratitude, I'd like to give you this: a (mostly) hand-made vector of her installer port.

Most of the path/shape calculations were determined manually based on her page in the artbook. However, more than half of it was chopped off at the page boundary.
I made it look as good as I could using pixiv as a reference. Inkscape traced the surrounding region for me, which turned out well.

I've always wanted to learn how to vector images after seeing those threads in /w/. These have symmetry and are made from some pretty basic shapes, so it shouldn't be too difficult.

Well that was quicker than I expected. Shurelia's install point was pretty simple, but I can't say the same about the others.
I figure I'll vector the Origins first, then work though everyone else in an order yet to be determined.

It does some things cool (combo system, unique healing system) and some things very uncool (not healing outside battles, the "shares", not letting Neptune or any goddess die without suffering hidden penalties, repetitive dungeon-crawling, useless elemental resistances, etc.). Also the fact that half the story is a fetch quest, it's like I'm really playing a typical WRPG.

The characters, their interaction, the humor and the gaming/anime references (or what I can catch of them) are the main reasons I liked the game. The music isn't bad, either. You do tend to hear certain ones a lot (the dungeon themes) but there are some I really like. Versus Green Heart is one of my favorite battle themes in the game.

Neptunia Mk-2 already looks like it's going to be better, the dungeons don't look like generic corridor caves anymore and the battle system is now Eternal Sonata-like. Hope they improve on other things.
