Sometimes ZUN gets interviewed and he points out/corrects minor details.

He also wrote a series of short stories about life in Gensokyo from the view point of Rinnosuke, practically the only male humanoid in the Touhou world.

The rest comes entirely from the games.

The books that are text-only are already on the wiki as well as ZUN's interviews.
The official comics are also available for downloading on the wiki.
Now, if there's anything that isn't available on the wiki, it will probably be on /rs/ or hongfire.

Not all of it recently they've created a separate section "Fandom" which filters all the memeshit into that area.

The Trivia section is now just full of useless minor details about characters that are canon, most of the time.
