Use water based lubes, oil based ones will destroy it. Also don't overkill with the lube, just put a little. Store it someplace cool, like a closet. I usually just wash mine with warm water and liquid hand soap and then gently rub it dry with a cloth.

Jap lube is way better than any of the western stuff so it does make sense.

It would be nice if there was a local store or a place with free shipping that sells it at a sensible price though as it does add a bit to shipping.
