These tornadoes are making it impossible to NEET it up.

How much does a generator cost?

>> No.7398255

A couple hundred dollars? Depends on what kind really. Either way, stay safe.

I don't get this picture, can you explain it so I can understand?

>A couple hundred dollars

What are you smoking? Generators cost thousands last I checked.

>> No.7398266

Depends on the total wattage, ours costed some $400 but it can run the well pump and the house so its well worth it.

>> No.7398271

>>7398267
Nope.

And or maybe in your shit country. I have a tiny generator and it was only 200 something, enough to run a tv and keep the fridge from going bad.

Are you slow in the head?

On the count that you are, its summer, the guy has all the A/Cs running which trips the breaker in the house, shutting down his computer (and probably losing unsaved data)

>> No.7398278

>>7398265
The a/c is blowing so hard that the air flips the switch and turns off his monitor.

Don't forget Missouri. They are still having tornado warnings.

Remember /jp/, a tornado is just another portal to gensokyo!

I wish there were tornadoes here.

A really shitty one, I'd prefer not to get ripped limb from limb while suffocating and die an agonizing death to get there.

I don't think Hollywood has ever really detailed what happens when you get sucked into a tornado. It's possibly the most painful death possible outside of torture.

You've never jumped into a dust devil?

That shit is fun, not smart in the least but fun.

Also Oz is almost like gensokyo.

you learn not to care after a while. If there's a tornado siren, I just turn the volume on my computer up

Yeah, Joplin got trashed a couple days ago.
Well, not like that's a problem here in Rolla, but it's constantly in the news.

I do the same when the fire alarm goes off in my dorm. A couple years ago it was actually the room next to me on fire, and I mean the whole room blazing and I had no idea. When the firefighters and RAs walked into my room to check if it spread I was in nothing but my underwear and headphones playing TF2.

It would've been awkward as fuck if one of the firefighters didn't immediately burst out laughing and call me a fearless man among men. I'm a pretty famous badass in the building now, even though I'm not friends with nor do I talk to anyone.

But then you wouldn't become a youkai but just a shitty powerless human at best.

I daresay getting molten gold poured onto your head is more painful than a tornado.

Pretty sure your country is shittier if you actually need a generator more than once every decade.

The guy fell asleep while he was at his computer. However, he's Korean, and the fans were on, and he died. The girl in the beginning represents death, come to take him away, the switch flipping off represents his life ending, and the computer screen represents his life's work--he realizes, staring at a blank screen, that his life had come to nothing, and now it is too late to do anything about it.

Don't worry, you're more likely to black out from having the air vacuumed from your lungs or being hit by flying debris before you're actually eviscerated.

As for OP, get yourself a little UPS system. The desktop level ones will run you around $100-$200, depending on how powerful your computer and how long you want to run it.

Mine can power my computer, 19" CRT and modem for about 10 to 15 minutes at idle.

If you will lose your power energy that will mean that internet cables are also broken. I think that money won't fix such simple logic. (tip: even if it's wi-fi if there is blackout around you your ISP probably also has blackout)

There are some things that money won't buy for you. Logical thinking is one of them.

>> No.7401541

My router's uninterruptible power supply spits on your logic. I got a good five hours of internet out of it during last night's blackout.

Am I the only one who always sees terms like this as a challenge?
