You should really see if any of your friends would let you live with them for a few weeks until you get a job. Once you have a job you can start renting an apartment (You need to put down a security deposit and first month's payment). If you can survive off the kindness of your friend for about 4-5 weeks while eating dirt (or cans of soup if you want to get fancy), you'll have enough to move into someplace. Then you just grind away and slowly buy the things you need to live comfortably.

Here's what works for me.
This works best if you live in California for obvious reasons.
First you're going to want to find a marijuana dealer.(a medical marijuana shop in CA, medical cards are easy to get)
Buy something cheap, something that costs like $10 a gram. Split that gram into about 4 little bundles. Go to a middleschool and sell them to the "cool kids". They'll buy one of your little bundles for $10. Tell them it's purple kush or something like that. Repeat until you can buy an ounce of actual kush, and then sell to highschoolers. They tend to buy more than middle schoolers, but aren't as informed about strains and prices as college students. Edibles also sell pretty well in highschools.

OP I was in a similar situation and I decided to enlist in the US Navy. The Navy just opened up recruiting again. After basic training you go to your job specialist training where you live in a dorm and pretty much get to do whatever the hell you want after hours. I then got stationed in the Philippines which was like a damn vacation (internet cafe 2 miles from base). I even got to shoot people. I fucking loved the Navy, it's just a damn shame I got kicked out after not even 2 years.

Just like in the Navy, in the Air Force, the vast majority of soldiers are not involved in combat jobs. For every pilot and air crew, there are probably 10 technicians, mechanics, transport, etc.

However, the safest service is surely the Navy, since they don't have to sit on the ground in the combat area in the base. You get to stay on a ship at sea in a world where no Navy is ever going to challenge ours, and you get to sail around and see random places in the world. As long as you aren't a Marine, some sort of Navy pilot or helicopter pilot or something you should be fine. Hell you might even have fun. Submarines are pretty cool too, you might want to think about that if you feel up to it, thought the best job would probably be on an aircraft carrier. The things are floating cities.

I've really started to consider going into the military. I'm a second year Computer Science major with decent grades (i.e. failed a couple of courses due to depression and what not but still have a 3.2~ G.P.A.) and I can't find a job anywhere where I live. My parents and I usually get along ok, I stay in my room while they do whatever, but lately we've been at each other's throats. Soldier here, you'll deal with a lot of shit but it's worth it in the end. I work for about 12 hours a day Mon-Fri (except when we go out into the field), but otherwise live like a hikki. I decorate my room with wall scrolls and have two shelves full of figyas, and nobody really gives a fuck - as long as I do my job well, which I do. Do note, however, that you shouldn't consider going as balls deep as I do before establishing a place for yourself at work as a respected individual (this will take years) before revealing yourself as an eccentric.

The best part is, since I got blown up in Afghanistan and worked hard to get a lot of stupid medical shit documented, I'll probably get rated around 50% disability when I get out.

Don't be an idiot like me and choose a combat arms MOS though - the mouthbreathers and "alpha males" in this job would eat most of /jp/ alive, not to mention the strain of being deployed and seeing combat. Choose yourself a nice little desk job, spend three years in, and get out. You'll have your feet planted by then, and probably the respect of your parents as well.
