Alright, here's a request: That's a bad quality photo from a rough sketch I made some weeks ago. I'm not sure it's visible what's going on, but it's Koishi furiously masturbating to Madotsuki recalling her dreams. It's not great, but I thought the idea was good, so I want someone to draw it for me in a way that's... presentable.

I've been using FPC Generator but the default pack that comes with it is not very good (sounds too MIDI-style).

Ah sorry, I layer drum lines so much that they aren't recognisable as individual entities.. The bass drum sound is largely my own (6 ply MMP 22x18) doubled with the 50-200 or so hz of something or other from ultrabeat, and a little overall EQ fiddling.. It is all a horrible mess like that on most, if not all percussive elements. Usually it is the same with instruments and synths.

I do all my music in Logic though, due to being trained with it at a college I attended. FPC sounds really really "stocky", but simply layering up a lot, reverbing, even amp designing on them may do a lot to make them more genuine, but it is all a lot of work..

It only goes to show once again that my interests did not lie in a finished product. Whenever I try to continue my coloring, I'm met with this unbearable exhaustion and sleepiness out of nowhere. Should I try to do something else (browsing, a new drawing, gaming, etc.), I quickly recover like I didn't have any problems to begin with. You know your motivation is in deep shit when it gets to physical reactions like this. And it only gets worse every time I make progress.

Whenever I use Sai I come out with awkward looking lineart. I'm probably doing it wrong. Or more likely I just suck to begin with. I don't even have a tablet or scanner, I take a picture of a drawing and try to go over it using the curve tool in Sai.

Whatever way you want to draw your lineart, don't do it with mouse even if you are using vectors.

Either:
- Get your tablet like a good drawfag.
- Ink your art traditionally and then scan it to photoshop and make the white background transparent for further coloring and editing.

Not the guy you guys are responding to, but I'm in the same boat in that I don't have a scanner, so I usually take a pic of my stuff and draw over it.

Thing is, it takes a shitton of time to just finish tracing one pic, especially ones where I have loads of stuffs in the background and lots of details on the subject.

So I guess what I'm asking is is there any quicker way to digitally ink something? I have never tried vectors, though, so is it easier, and if so, what's a good software to vector?

I believe the common operating procedure is to solicit attention only subtly. For example you could reference your previous work on your next contribution.
Asking for it directly is, in my opinion, unbecoming. If no one gave a remark then tough luck, reality is hard world to live in (or people who liked it is not a fond of making comments just to say they do.) Just keep this in mind and aim for something that will catch people's attention on your next work.
If you get a comment from someone without asking for it then without a doubt that person truly liked it, assuming that person wasn't also you.
Mind you, I'm not saying this is what everyone should do but what I observed what most people do. I've seen many works go by unremarked yet some of them still keep posting.

I can understand where the guy is coming from. For me, it doesn't necessarily have to be a 'reward' or anything, just some acknowledgment that people actually read what I wrote. The curve tool is essential, I find, in mouse lining.
Vectors give you the opportunity to change your lines and fine-tune things to your liking.

I personally like to line in flash using the paint brush tool, and then focus on fixing things afterwards. It also gives you the option to smooth/sharpen your line work after you've finished. It's great with a tablet as well because the pressure is well translated.

Really simple, it's the warrior class BETA (picture related if you don't know him) dressed like a total nerd (shirt with all bottons done and huge-ass glasses) holding a bouquet of flowers while being rejected by someone or something (it can be another BETA, one of the girls or hell, even a TSF). Anyone here a graphic designer? I'm trying to make a logo for Studio Nihi, but I'm having a hell of a time. Here is what we currently have, I don't know if I should just scrap it and start over again or what.

The text box looks really pretty.
The text itself is really hard to read because of that outline/shadow business. It's ok in small doses (like the title that says "Anonymous" is fine) but If you're planning on using that style of text for a whole VN it would be pretty painful.
I think you'd be better off either finding a way to make a single-color text work or using a font with a thicker stroke so that the letters themselves occupy more space than the outline.

I did raise the shoulder a bit, and it looked alright at time, but I guess I didn't raise it enough. I definitely see what you mean about the crotch, although I think it's more that the whole pelvis is way too short? More or less the same thing, but it does look really off.

Because I kept messing up. It seems the original image uses transparency for who knows what reason, and it screws up in MSPaint. So I had to correct it with GIMP, but forgot a part, so I had to correct it again. >>7395526 should be correct.
