I always play Reisen when given the option to.

All those knives, no way to escape. Has always been good in the fighting games, combos like crazy and is pretty good overall. And she's my favorite character. No reason for me not to use her. Although I admit I use a lot of characters in the game, I do best with her.

Yuyuko, Yukari or Suika

First character I've tried in SWR and my overall favorite to play.I do get hungry for corndogs after a game though.

Just a question, anyone else branched out to play tons of characters? I'm playing ten characters currently for some reason, I'm not very good with most of them but I enjoy playing a lot of them.

I play Youmu, Meiling, Reisen, Yuyuko, Remi, Sakuya, Cirno, Okuu, Aya, Komachi, Marisa, and Patchouli more or less regularly and competently.
The only one out of the rest that I dislike is Suwako.

I'm actually playing Yukari even though I don't know how to play as her. Her lack of mobility kind of hurts for me. My main three are Sakuya, Youmu and Sanae, in that order. I kind of want to pick up Reisen for a cool stage five motif but she's too tricky for me.

I see. Most of the characters I use are pretty standard to control. Sakuya, Youmu, Sanae, Reimu, Marisa, Cirno, Meiling, Aya, Yukari and Tenshi. The rest have some weird gimmick or something else I can't get used to so I don't play them.

Reisen's not all that tricky, just hit B a lot and get used to how her little disappear-y moves work and you're set.

It's mostly the illusion stuff that gets me. That and her terrible dash speed as well. Then again, I haven't made a good deck for her for optimal combos and setups.

I'd host if I was able to. But for some reason it doesn't allow me to. So I just play against the computer, that custom Komachi AI is annoying.

Just as annoying as non-AI Komachis. But custom AI can't even come close to real players anyway, even for a punchbag like me.

The problem with that custom AI is that I can't hit it with anything unless it goes into the air where I can hit it with something like Sakuya's 3A. As for port forwarding, I know they aren't open, I attempted to open them and it wouldn't work.

Actually, I've played online before. I usually go about 50:50, worse with some of the better guys though. The only AI that gives me trouble is the custom one, and I still win more often than not. As for port forwarding, it doesn't let me because when I attempted to port forward, I didn't have a password so yeah.

Whenever one is created it dies within a few days now. There's just not enough interest it seems on /jp/. At this point, the main places to find games are #hisouten and Soku Lobby.
