Hey /jp/,

May we turn this into meta general? I went to a funeral recently (/jp/ers who were online on thursday may remember me complaining about how I didn't care). I noticed that my 11 year old flat chested sister stuffed her bra with tissues. I was disgusted with this, since I didn't see it as neither proper little girl behaviour, nor appropriate for her to think that he bust size mattered at a funeral. So I told my parents but they acted like I was in the wrong, because apparently looks are a huge thing at a funeral. She is turning into a huge slut. So there's a little girl with tissue stuffed breasts at the funeral acting sickeningly sycophantic. Actually the entire funeral was a joke. Half the women there were using it as an excuse to show off their fashion accessories like some retarded whore wearing a tilted black beret. I mean you don't have to come in casual clothes but for fucks sake at least try to look smart and not like it's a fashion festival. I hate people. But I love you /jp/. There is no point to be "normal" in this world. Being normal means being stupid, and useless. Unlike what normals think their life is boring and meaningless. Even about that stupid fashion - there are thousand people wearing the same as you, and fashion doesn't make you unique. And unlike what they claim - your family doesn't really care about you even if you died. And in real world there aren't real friends - they will leave you as quickly as you would get any real trouble.

It was implicit. He wouldn't have gone into such detail if he didn't think he was expressing common knowledge -- and in any case none of it was really altogether true. And in any case again(!), there is not such a sharp divide between normal and non-normal; such a heavy reliance on dualism is bordering on dogma and is symptomatic of a plagued mind. GG.

Besides anything else, the things he said are literally ancient. As in, such thoughts were expressed and written down in ancient times. It is genuinely embarrassing to watch grown men come out with it as though they're somehow profound and special for noticing truisms.

Sister blog thread?
My older sister is the typical university girl that enrolled to party. She is a tremendous hipster. I thought she had some interest in Touhou when she caught me playing EoSD a while back, but it turns out she was trying to use it as hipster cred for playing "obscure Japanese indie games"

My younger sister is a band geek who likes to watch shitty Ghibli movies.
I dont have anyone to share or talk about my feelings with, so I like to find these threads and post and report in them so I dont feel like a shitposter.
The few people I speak with I only do so for my mother to get off my back about me never leaving the house or talking with people, even though I'm sure its all her fault. She was tremendously overprotective when I was growing up, and I could never leave the house or be allowed to talk with girls. Now she expects me to do a complete 180 and be an upstanding normal who knows how to socialize.

After that I stopped talking to the girl I was dating and decided that the internet was a much nicer place to spend my time. I feel the same way, we've had these threads since the start of /jp/ but they attract the /r9k/ ronries, right now which means we need to be vigilant.

My friend went from introvert to hipster very quickly. I somewhat envy him since I know I could never put up with normals. When I last talked to him he was fulling integrated.

My younger sister spends all her time watching Naruto and Ghibli. I don't hate Ghibli but people think every film they shit out is gold. These people have clearly not seen Only Yesterday (the loli parts were fine. The adult parts were awful). I totally agree about the mother part too. My parents beat the shit out of me for staying out late at friend's houses and now they expect me to be stable enough to get a job. I really want to just move out and get on oestrogen, but I can't with my parents like this.

And I've explained the situation with my youngest sister earlier.

YET MORE RETARDATION

"introverted" does not mean shy, it does not mean socially inept, it does not even mean socially reserved or quiet, it does not mean fucking anything you mouthbreathers probably think it does. You could be the biggest "normal" ever and still be introverted.

Introversion as a concept comes from Carl Jung, and its best analogy would probably be to "introspective". That's it. That's all it means. That you look inwards more than outwards. It's true that introverts have a higher potential to be loners than extroverts, but it is by NO means a necessary condition.

I'm not denying it. Stupidity has that effect on me.

Dude, I would put any money on people like major politicians, actors, etc - i.e. people who MUST be good at human interaction - being some of the biggest introverts who ever lived. Introversion has absolutely nothing to do with socialising, it has nothing to do with being timid, it has nothing to do with how well you can speak with other people -- it has nothing to do with anything you bizarre manchildren think it does.

It's not just introversion. I see terms like this getting thrown around all the time by people who don't understand them. And why? As if it isn't fucking obvious! They've grown up reading these buzzwords on dumbass internet forums, and after long enough they've come to believe they know what they mean.

Of course to really find out where the terms originated and what they mean would take an act as simple as opening a fucking book -- but, God forbid...

See also: evolutionary theory, "subjectivity" vs. "objectivity", art, pretty much anything to do with politics, the list is endless. So many little scumbags who've been educated by the internet and now speak in strange language that they've never really understood.

"autism". No one even thinks about the word anymore. They just throw it around and expect its loaded meaning to speak for itself, they've seen other people do it and decided it must be the correct way to deal with people who they disagree with. Is there anything more debilitating to original thought than spending time on the internet? I have never seen such transparent displays of groupthink and mimicry of thinking anywhere IRL. I'm sure it happens, but the internet takes it to a new level (and I am not one of these people who thinks you shouldn't take the internet "seriously" - that idea in itself is yet another example of retarded, self-perpetuating groupthink - but what you should take it as is -critically-).

>Sometimes words gain a commonly accepted meaning without actually being the correct technical definition of the word

I don't care what fucking Cosmos or "the average Joe" thinks it means. They can go hang themselves for all I care -- I am concerned with what words REALLY mean, and I am dismayed by the fact that ignorant people piss all over that on a daily basis. You cannot expect me to believe that the majority of people who use the word "introverted" (to stick with the catalytic example here) to have any clue about its true meaning, or about where it came from. And when you consider the frequency with which it's chucked around - like monkeys playing with shit - that is a sad fact indeed.

It's still nonsensical. "Autism" has been appropriated as a term to describe something other than autistic behaviour -- okay, so what? SOME people who do this will be aware that "autism" really stands for something else entirely, but all of them? lol. I admire your faith!

And in any case, "autism" isn't really comparable to introversion. There's a far higher proportion of people who even have direct experience with the former than there are with people with even indirect experience with Jungian psychology. Take it further afield and it only gets worse. As if terms like "subjective" are ever used correctly in everyday argumentative discourse.

It may seem like I'm being pedantic, like I'm raging about a non-issue and that even if these terms change their meaning altogether (which they can't -- because rigidly-defined technical words aren't of the same nature as more mundane word) it doesn't really matter, right? I'd like to point out to everybody who calls normalfag lives empty, shallow, boring and meaningless that ignorance is bliss. Most of those people are perfectly fine with their lives as they are. You don't miss what you don't know about. It isn't a problem until you learn that there's more to life.

Also,
in·tro·vert
   /n., adj. ˈɪntrəˌvɜrt; v. ˌɪntrəˈvɜrt/ Show Spelled[n., adj. in-truh-vurt; v. in-truh-vurt] Show IPA
–noun
1.
a shy person.
2.
Psychology . a person characterized by concern primarily with his or her own thoughts and feelings ( opposed to extrovert).
3.
Zoology . a part that is or can be introverted.
–adjective
4.
Psychology . marked by introversion.
–verb (used with object)
5.
to turn inward: to introvert one's anger.
6.
Psychology . to direct (the mind, one's interest, etc.) partly to things within the self.
7.
Anatomy, Zoology . to turn (a hollow, cylindrical structure) in on itself; invaginate.

If you're going with 'original meanings' bullshit, never use 'fag' or 'gay' for 'homosexual' again, never use 'gaijin' to say foreigner, or hell, don't even refer to this place as a 'board'; board should refer to lumber, and nothing else. Also, you're not 'typing' your messages, and you can't 'post' on the internet. Also, Disney is now anime and 'manga' can refer to any drawn picture.

Nothing about being shy. Everything about the Jungian term. Quelle surprise, you fucking inbred!

As for the rest of your retardations, you haven't understood for a single moment the point I've been making, have you? Take this, alone:

>don't even refer to this place as a 'board';

So far off it's hilarious. As if a comparison can be made between "introversion" and "board". As I already pointed out in >>6952077, the reason "introversion" cannot be used in the wrong way is because it's a technical term (referring to a psychoanalytic concept), for which a fundamental change of meaning would completely alter the work upon which it was based and the work it later inspired. The meaning cannot and will not be changed -- what would happen is that a different word would be used. And what do you know, there already is one! "Shy"! And it's even a much older one than "introversion"! The fun never ends! I'm on the edge of my seat!

It's like snoring, except quietly. Think of it as whispering a snore. A sleeping Japanese person does this because they unconsciously do not want to bother others trying to sleep around them.

Image somewhat related to this thread. It's the 300 people the frequent /jp/ who hate anything remotely entertaining.

Is there a recording of this? I can't imagine anyone saying "N" repeatedly. It's just not within the limits of American language.
Also, thanks!
