The change would not be in the actual dialogue choice selection, but will appear after all of that selection's dialogue has run its course. Essentially, all it's doing is giving me a spot to put in the personality shifts which the game is already doing at the moment in the little white pop up text but I haven't worked out how to change those yet.

Adding the stat notification to the dialog script wouldn't work. If your maid is fully cheerful or fully quiet, the game doesn't count any additional points.
