Also, in Ciel True, why doesn't Akiha reclaim her life force from Shiki? For all she knows, he's rejected her, raped (or at least assaulted) Kohaku, and ran away. What gives?

That's because he was infatuated with Arcueid until the very end despite it being Ciel's route. He was unsure about which one to chose.

He comes back, acts like a no-class scrub, ignores her, runs around at night, tells her he won't and then does it again, then he assaults Kohaku and runs away.

And even though it's not a far side route, Akiha still knows about vampires and whatnot. It wouldn't be the first time she's seen or known of someone flipping out in a murderous rape rage, and as we've seen in Kohaku's route, she has no patience for any of that. Her swiftness in dealing with the real Tohno Shiki is what warps her into the route's antagonist.

How much crap is she really willing to put up with from Nanaya?

Ciel with glasses sucks so much, i hated her and her route until she took off her glasses and did anal. I still think shes not really that great though.

Ciel hates Arc because Arc is a vampire and is also connected to Roa, and Ciel has reason to hate every bit of of that business. Arc also hunted Ciel while she was Roa-possessed. Imagine looking at the face of your killer, when your crime was to be the victim of possession. There's gonna be some animosity there.

To Arc, Ciel is a member of the church and she's also a former (and somewhat current) host of Roa. Ciel's existence is a constant reminder of Arc's mistakes, and being affiliated with a vampire-hunting organization doesn't help build good relations either.

To each of them, the other represent their own regrets and lamentations about their own life.

Shiki was always trying to come up with the solution that would allow him to pound them both without repercussions.

Can't wait for Satsuki's route where Shiki paves the way to his full harem ending.

I don't even understand why ciel exists in the first place. arc killed her when she was roa but she didn't actually die but she stopped being roa anyway but she can't die before roa because she is roa. what the fuck?

It's a glitch.

It didn't happen with the others Roa possessed because Roa selected the others out of people who had high social status, but he didn't select Ciel as he was killed too quickly by Arc in his previous host. He naturally shifted into a host which suited him entirely on grounds that had nothing to do with his personal selection or social standing, so she fit like a glove, so to speak.

Because of this excellent attunement she had with Roa, severing the link was problematic and they didn't separate completely.

What's unfortunate for Ciel (but probably not from her perspective) is that the events of Tsukihime eliminate Roa, robbing her of her glitch-gained immortality. Although Kohaku's route might be an exception, as it seems that Akiha absorbed him from Tohno Shiki, although I'm not entirely sure about that. I'm still a little fuzzy on the details of Kohaku's route. The bits about child rape sort of distracted me from the other parts of the plot.

also how come when shiki killed SHIKI in akiha's route it didn't reduce her load like in the other routes?

What's funny is that Arc is supposed to be the main heroine of Tsukihime but most of the real story is in Far Side, where she doesn't appear at all.

No, Arcueid is not just the main heroine, she is the main character of Tsukihime. The far side routes are the story of Shiki, but Arcueid is the main character of the story called Tsukihime. And yes, before you ask, all of this is stated on the Tsukihime Plus Disk.
