It's not a real shooting game unless there's a fucking ocean of bullets everywhere all the time forever, except for that one tiny free spot, which you have to memorize to have any chance of finishing the level.

I used to play G-Radius on my PlayStation and PS2 all the time, then I lost the disk and with it my love of spaceship fishing.

I agree with this. I don't have anything against Touhou, I think they're great games, but it's really frustrating when I have to resort to memorization even on normal difficulty.

Sometimes I just wanna get in there, complete the game and still feel like I accomplished a damn thing through my own willpower and skill. Reaction shmups are perfect for this.

What site do you guys use for your MAME roms? I want to play Mars Matrix, Battle Bakraid, Gunbird 2, and Batrider, but none of the roms I downloaded appear to work with shmupmame 2.2 or MAME 1.41 or whatever the latest versions are.

I am frustrated.

Playing through Chaos Field on the Wii at the moment. It's similar to the other Milestone games, but I like the inclusion of the 'RAPE ME SIDEWAYS' button that is the Chaos Field which makes half the bullets un-swipeable and fills the screen with more shots than a glaswegian on his 18th birthday.
