>To everyone in this thread, don't listen to normalfags and consider getting a motorbike license instead.

Motorbikes are more dangerous than cars. You can have a car accident and survive, but if you have a motorbike accident you won't survive that easy. Also, cars are more confortable, and have many more advantages.

Also, in my country, you can drive motorbikes up to 125cc with the same license you use to drive cars.

So no, I want my car license.

You need a driving license for many jobs. For example, I am a repairman, and every job I can get needs to have the driving license. The car one.

When I was 18, the average age in my country, i was thinking like you. "I don't need it, why bother getting it? It's a waste of money and time!". Also, I didn't like cars at all, I was afraid of driving.

Now that I'm getting my license and I started driving, I like cars and I want to have my license once for all. If I need it like if I don't.

The "motorcycles are dangerous" crap is also typically blown way out of proportion.

Scores of people are killed in minor crashes just because they couldn't be bothered to wear more than a T-shirt and underwear. Another great deal - due to zero training or overconfidence. Consider the options you have for avoiding a collision in a car and on a bike, too.

In the end, all the safety comes down to yourself. Meaning that the lower limit is much lower, too.

Tell that to one of my classmates back when I was studying in high-school.

He had a motorbike accident. A car appeared suddenly in a intersection and he could do nothing to evade the colision. He crashed and had a ver bad accident.

I think he is already out of the hospital, but he was in a critical status for a few days and his leg bones were totaly broken.

Another friend had a car accident when he was in his homeland. Another car was driving in the opposite direction at night, with the large lights on. The father of this guy, who was driving the car, was dazzled by the lights, so he turned the wheel very quick and went into the ditch. They ended in a small river, more like a creek, with the car upside down in the water.

All of them survived, with a few injuries, but they were fine, except his grandfather. He survived, but he had more severe injuries.

The chassis of a car is made to protect the body of the passengers. You can still die in a car accident, of course, but that's only if you have an accident at a very high speed. In a motorbike, 50km/h (31 mph according to google), are more than enough to have a fatal accident, while in a car it just mess up your car, but you will survive for sure. Why? because your body is unprotected.

Is that relevant enough for you?

I'm not trying to tell you motorbikes are bad, just in case you think I'm trying to do so. It's just they are more dangerous, and that's something true that many people can tell you.

You can also die of a hearth attack while browsing /jp/, but if you are healthy that's almost impossible.

Think that in a motorbike, every hit is a direct hit to your body. Imagine somebody punches you at 31mph (50km/h). He would almost blow up your face. Instead, in a car, the chassis absorbs part of that speed, so the hit your body recives is minor.

It's not about "Hey, I am right and you are wrong", it's just physics. Ask /sci/ about it if you still dont get it.

I want you to do a thourough research on all the people who crash in jeans, and all the people who crash in gear. If you spend about $2k on you gear, short of a head into the back of a semi at 170mph, you will most likely survive without life altering damages. Not to mention if you just pay attention.

I rode a moped for 5 years and never had any incidents because I paid attention to my surroundings, and noticed when other people didn't notice me. I let 2 people borrow my moped during that period. First friend rode it into a wall and I had to replace my front wheel and forks. Second side swiped a SUV and totaled it because he was a fucking retard.

If you are not stupid, you should be able to compensate for others retardation.

There are actually crashes that are better survived on a motorcycle then a car. That is assuming you are wearing full gear. Reason being is that skidding to a stop is a lot less violent then hitting something inside your car. Most motorcyclists don't die from the initial impact as the bike takes most of that, its from being unlucky and hitting something on the ground like a guard rail or tree.

Of course this is more true for older cars that have less safety equipment/design. Those cars are likely to crumple up on you and crush you like a sardine in a can. That's still relevant since most everyone here would have to drive a older car for money reasons.

I won't argue that its more dangerous though. I wouldn't say the risk of dying is that high or we wouldn't see that many life long riders. However, like a jockey or rodeo rider, you will get your fair share of injuries. That won't matter though, because the moment you ride a motorbike, you'll love it more then your Waifu. When I had my first accident, it hurt so bad but the first thing I did was get back on and drive home.
