It's not actually self-updating, I don't know why they labeled it that way. You just have to go back and do the whole "Add torrent from website" bit every time they update it - and make sure that it's pointing to the same location where you installed the files from the last one.

Also, beware the most recent one has 2 copies of Umineko 8, so if you don't want to waste 3 gigs skip one of them.

You can't, at least not reasonably. Converting from a lossy format to any other lossy format will cause severe degradation, and of course, transcoding lossy to lossless is a huge waste (and will still result in the same degradation if you attempt .ogg > lossless > lossy).

I'm sorry, but .ogg really is about the worst thing you could upload in, it's not supported by the majority of non-pc media players and it can't be converted to anything else without losing a significant and very audible amount of quality.

.flac is really the viable option for these uploads.

Unrelated, but do you guys have recommendations for new albums? I've already listened to the ones by my favorite circles (ALiCE'S EMOTiON, Alstroemeria, CROW'SCLAW, sound sepher, LIA, TatshMusicCircle, HARDCORE TANO*C, supercell, CYTOKINE, Syrufit, Iron Attack!) and the only ones I didn't like were the ones by Tatsh and Iron Attack!. I'm kinda out of good stuff. Been thinking about getting BUN, that TamStar Records one, the Tetsush one or S4U. Minamo Trance, SKETCH UP RECORDINGS and MOB SQUAD BLACK LABEL also piqued my interest.

There's not even that much up yet. At least if you are talking about solely C79 stuff. I haven't listened to them yet, but you might as well grab the Liz Triangle and SOUND HOLIC albums. SOUND HOLIC are kinda hit or miss, but they usually have at least one or two good tracks per album. Liz Triangle are usually pretty solid, even if I think their songs can be lacking a bit of punch at times.

Oh and if you feel like trying jazz, there's always SWING HOLIC. They haven't disappointed so far, but I haven't listened to their C79 release yet.

Listening to Hatsunetsumiko's right now, it's the usual; soft trancey pop. Not at all bad but it takes a bit of time to "get into" their albums, or at least it does for me.

Tl;dr: there's not that much music up yet (at least not compared to what will eventually get leaked), so at this point just download everything and see what you like
