Today, I read about Yuyuko on the Touhou wiki for the first time.
To me, she was one of the characters I've never shown any interest in. I haven't touched her in Hisouten, I didn't defeat her in PCB, I never read a doujin with her.
Remembering her tune is pretty catchy, I put it on, and decided to read up on her history after seeing the word "suicide" in the comments. Yes, reading youtube comments, I know it's a bad idea
For an unknown reason, I shed a tear while reading her story, while the most intense part of her theme was playing in the background. It isn't even sad, or particularly well-written, but something in it awoken some inborn sadness for the dead. A bizzare, but a beautiful feeling.

The point of this thread is, have you ever had a similar /jp/-related revelation?

The reason why azns are less ashamed of their waifu collections than in the west is because parents like it when their son shows an interest in girls-having a son with 200 pictures of hatsune miku his bedroom, to the parents, just means he's got women on his mind and will likely end up producing grandchildren once his life reaches that point lol where he starts socializing with women openly and dating. The reason why azns are less ashamed of their waifu collections than in the west is because parents like it when their son shows an interest in girls-having a son with 200 pictures of hatsune miku his bedroom, to the parents, just means he's got women on his mind and will likely end up producing grandchildren once his life reaches that point lol where he starts socializing with women openly and dating.huihg

I cry when I remember that I will never go to Gensoukyou. I bury myself in touhou related media so that I might forget.

I, uh. I never liked any of the Prismrivers until I read THE SUN AND THE MOON. Does that count?

How do you think Youmu came to be?

>> No.6704372

I went from seeing Rinnosuke as an extremely dull character that has no place in the Touhou canon to seeing him as an incredibly awesome character, simply after someone on /jp/ said his power was "mystic eyes of stuff perception".
