I wish christmas would just disappear. There's no point to it at all. You give a gift to someone, they give a gift to you. Even if you both like your gift, there's no point. And giving people money is seen as stupid so they give gift cards instead, which is the height of stupidity. It's because a direct cash presents point out the worthlessness of the holiday. You get cash from someone, you give it to them, both of you have what you started out with. My mom asked me if I wanted anything, I told her if she wants to get me something then give me money. She hasn't given me any yet, but if she does I'll just give it back to her for rent. It's not like anyone is actually celebrating the religious reason for the holiday, either. It's just an excuse for families to try to force you to relate to them, I believe all holidays are that at core.

A new phone, a guitar tuner and capo, a Green Day chord book, a wallet, a subway giftcard, Rock Band 3, a "fushigi" ball (my parents saw it on TV), a huge load of socks, and some money.

Anyways if you ever stumble across Elementary Japanese, it's a pretty good series, despite the name. Although you only learn a little over 300 kanji in the first book, it incorporates a wide range of grammar and constructions. I just started the second one today, and it's some pretty advanced stuff.

I got The Sly Cooper collection, a complete works of Shakespeare box set, a Kud Wafter Calender, and a Lion King Lithograph. I also have a few more gifts when i go to my parents house later today.
