I'm part of the group that thinks cosplaying is about enjoying the process of designing and making a costume and then being proud as you show it off.

I feel like people who do it should be gassed.

It's okay as long as they are preteen doing it during October 25th. No other dates or ages are allowed.

-When you get paid by the sponsors of the show to but on an event featuring the characters
-in your room, alone, I dance the first ending theme from heartcatch precure sometimes, I'm getting pretty good.

Might be for the best, the only worthwhile things to do at a con are to check out stuff at the Dealer's Room and checking out some panels.

I think cosplay is fine as long as you can pull it off.

I personally think that cosplaying itself is dumb. Guys cosplaying as their favorite characters are fucking stupid and I despise them. Girls, on the other hand, want attention which makes them attention whores. I think of them as sluts. A girl exposing her body to drooling strangers can't be a good person. Every female cosplayer is a slut, no exceptions.

I think people who cosplay are pathetic, it's just screaming out to everybody "Hi i'm a loser who dresses up as cartoon characters to escape because I have low self esteem". I wouldn't even stoop that low.

This is backed up by the fact that 90 percent of cosplayers are fat/ugly.

As with anything, cosplay is ok if you have an idea that you want to make reality, and be willing to work for it and present it as a polished, finished product.

Also as with anything, cosplay is not ok if you think it's an 'activity' but actually just want to be part of an arbitrary crowd or put a label on yourself. Go do something productive fatty.

Categorizing other people is a natural thing to do, if not always nice or strictly correct.
However, trying very hard to have other people associate you with a certain trend will always make you look pathetic.
If you do this consciously or not does no matter. The fact is that most of the cosplayers do not cosplay because they want to present what they do, but because they want to present themselves to the cosplay community.
It's no wonder that this community soon grows into a despicable, low-life assembly of attention-whoring fat girls without self-esteem.

If you want to do something fun, go play a game or watch a movie. The cosplay is only for kids who watch they favorite animey, "shy" in the outside girls who are nowhere near being nice; they just didn't have their opportunity yet or just for attention whores who like being watched half-clothed. This, pretty much. I'm not particularly anti-purchase, but making it yourself is a LOT more gratifying.

Cosplaying is ultimately about having fun, which is why I don't take it or myself seriously at all outside of wanting some semblance of accuracy in the actual outfit.

sadly, the only tip I have is to reduce calories as much as you can. I do something like 1000 kcal/day

It-s really hard, but once you turn it into a routine it gets easier. What I do is I always have the same thing for breakfast and lunch, which sums up 450 kcal. Then I eat small quantities of food during the day (if it is something that makes me fat, I chew it and spit). That way you'll get roughly 1000 kcal a day and you will eventually learn not to get hungry.

Chewing and spitting? I guess that's at least a stage less bad than actual vomiting, but hell.
1000kcal doesn't exactly sound healthy either.
If you want to lose weight, you should do it at a slow pace instead.

About reducing calories, 1500kcal is what's considered the acceptable level for a man to cut down to if they're on a diet. 1000kcal is less than half of your GDA and could actually be pretty harmful. Not to mention it's going to make you tired as fuck if do anything more than sit on your ass all day.

Consider how active you are and then consider how much you should be cutting down to. Trying to lose a load of weight in small time frame isn't healthy.

I think I'm at the right weight so far. Probably because of my crazy metabolism. I do nothing all day and eat about 2000 kcal and still feel hungry all the time.
