/jp/ is full of human-hating recluses who would more gladly kill the cool kids and use their guts as strings than go hang out with them and do drugs.

My brother died last summer of a water overdose. He was invited by the "cool kids" to hang out at some kids house whose liberal parents had left for the weekend. My brother, always a moral and thoughtful individual, wanted to attend because it was one of those massive house parties that he'd never been to. Well, as was later recalled by some of his friends at the party, he was pressured into drinking water. He ended up drinking the entire gallon of water liquid.
Not long after he went into convulsions and started vomiting. The people at the party held back calling 9/11 for almost 10 minutes.
When the paramedics finally arrived they could do nothing to save him.
The autopsy revealed he had 3 times the lethal dosage of water in his blood.
But I'm sure everyone here will deny my story and the fact that my brother died after drinking that illegal liquid. I'm trying to reach out to you water drinkers, please stop while it's all fun and games. We really need to get this poison off the streets.

Obviously it varies per person. But yes, several gallons would be needed for one "dose" to cause water poisoning.

More often, it's simply drinking too much over too long a time. Say, two liters per hour or so. One liter per hour is perfectly healthy so long as you have proper kidneys and an average or better amount of sodium in your diet.

According to wikipedia (I know, terrible source, but hell if I'm doing more research than that for an editpasa) the kidneys can process ~1 liter/hour and you have to grossly exceed that in order to induce water poisoning. 1 gallon = 3.78 liters, so it's not quite right, but then again, neither is the OP.
