well, i can say that i don't necessarily like the majority of the videos as well. but doesn't that go for everything where anybody can create something? in mmd's case, there's a lot of people who just make videos by slapping a dance to a model to a stage and recording, sometimes without even camera movement.

those are the majority of mmd videos, and yeah, i don't like those.

but i really like most of the stuff that wins the top spots on the MMD cup(hxxp://www31.atwiki.jp/mmdcup/pages/123.html) and a lot of the videos involving the lat model(Lat式）.

i find a lot of times i'm suckered into a song by a well done video(electric love and sweet devil being the most recent examples).

Anyone here actually use Vocaloid? I've just installed it and for whatever reason, it can't comprehend I'm inputting Japanese characters. I do have the Japanese language pack installed and all that, but now it fails to recognize that I'm telling it to sing in Japanese. Anyone else had this problem?

I've done a bit with it - if your keyboard is set to Japanese (meaning, you type in notepad and jap comes out) it should be fine.

Otherwise, romaji works too.

I think I might have to just Romaji it up, I can type in Japanese in notepad and every other program, but whenever I attempt to insert a lyric, it shows up as hiragana, but then shifts back to question marks.

Local con. Checked the website this morning to find Miku on the front page. Have sudden urge to buy tickets. Last year the concert was free and miku only performed 3 songs. (second song lagged) So /jp/ Should i? i really love miku but the steep price is making me think twice.
