Works, thanks. I did a brief run through Metsu and noticed a few mistakes. I'll cover them in detail after I do some of my other work today. One thing to mention right away is the use of . and 。 as periods. They're both used in the notes in Metsu and I'm sure in the text files and main game as well. I think it would be best to pick one and stick with it for consistency's sake.

Another thing I noticed is that the music doesn't change when you switch from Metsu to the main game or from the main game to Metsu. So you can have Metsu music in the main game and vice versa. This isn't a major problem, but it doesn't happen in the Japanese version. I think we should stick as close to the source material as possible.

Also, sorry for the inconsistency. I went through and changed all the periods for everything but Metsu. Thanks. I'm looking through them now. I had to look up how to use a comma, but I'm pretty sure I found everything in the notes in Metsu.

Note 1:

"That cat was cute and friendly, it was truly everyone's favorite." - I think this should be two separate sentences. Replace the comma with a period.

Note 2:

"Well, childen have a tendency to be cruel" - "childen" should be "children"
"Being careful that nobody would see me I sometimes went to see it." - there should probably be a comma between "me" and "I"
"The cat and the rabbit would play with each other through the fence, I saw it many times." - This should probably be two sentences as well. Replace the comma with a period.

Note 3:

"She was a girl, about the same age as me." - the comma isn't necessary
"That girl showed athsmatic symptoms because of cats." - "athsmatic" should be "asthmatic"

Note 4:

"I didn't know if she would have a coughing fit,
that's why I could only watch her from afar." - Since these lines are on two different pages, it would be best to make them separate sentences. Just replace the comma with a period and capitalize "That's"

Note 5:

"That's what the teacher had said." - It can just be "That's what the teacher said."

Note 6:

"Before I noticed, the girl was abscent from school." - "abscent" should be "absent"

These text files are going to give me some trouble. I've gone through all of the shorter text files and started working on some of the longer ones. I had to stop at about halfway through Ageha.txt because this line is giving me some trouble.

This time it's not this lively,
Alone with Satoru, I want to go somewhere quiet.

But anyway, I played the game as well and got the 10k ending. No problems there. I found a few in the CGs though.

1st CG:

Line 6. "dissapointed" should be "disappointed".
Line 8. Should it be "You can eat canned food afterwards"? It seems that would make more sense there. Maybe I'm just missing something.
Line 9. "ingedients" should be "ingredients"

2nd CG:

Line 6. I can't really tell what's a comma and what's a period in this font, but I think "wearing" should be capitalized if that's a period before it.
Line 10. "It seemed like that person was watching throughly, silently staring at us." - I don't know what "throughly" is supposed to be. Thoroughly? "intently" would probably work better if it's "thoroughly".

>Line 8. Should it be "You can eat canned food afterwards"? It seems that would make more sense there. Maybe I'm just missing something.
The original line there seems pretty clear on the negative aspect. I think the idea there is "you can try fishing, but don't expect me to give you food afterward when you fail."

as for
>This time it's not this lively
Yeah, this needs fixing.

Also, are you double-checking my script against the Japanese, or just working with the English?

>> No.6429380

>>6429368

My Japanese is pretty limited, so I can only check a few things. Though now that you mention it, it is negative in that sentence about the canned food.

About the other sentence, 賑やか can also mean busy. So I was thinking it would be something like "When I'm not as busy, I'd like to go to a quiet place alone with Satoru". I'm not really sure though since I can only read about 20% of it.

Also, 20k ending. Is anyone testing this other than me? I'm a pretty slow reader and I'd rather not play through this a million times to figure out if everything's right. I will if I have to, but it's pretty annoying. Anyway, here's what I got.

They were both here, - comma should be period
everyone is getting along for the time being - Sentence too long. "being" runs past the edge of the screen.

You unlock metsu after clearing the main game. It's a separate game mode.
Your first five games will net you the five album images, regardless of score. Your sixth game will unlock the first ending. The next five games will cycle through the CGs again. Then, your twelfth game will net you the second ending if you get at least 20,000 points and Irisu is not crying. Otherwise, you get the first ending again and must repeat the process. Once you get the 20k ending, you no longer accumulate CGs. Instead, you just play until you unlock Metsu at 40,000 points.
At least, that's what I've gotten from the game.

As for that wall of text, it just sorta appears if you leave the title screen sitting too long. I decided to leave it as-is for now.

It's Irisu's past
Irisu grew up being lonely because her family moved often so she was afraid of making one. Her only friend was a rabbit kept in schoolyard, and it wasn't popular with the kids. There was another animal kept in school, a cat which is loved by everyone, but Irisu couldn't mix in due to her asthma. One day, she found the rabbit dead only with is head, and a cat was licking it. And so she ****** the cat (the outcome is actually unknown, but you can guess). Ever since, she holds grudge against cats.

A request.txt:

"In the hopes that you don't reveal unnatural behavior, I earnestly thank you." - I thought "reveal" sounded strange and wondered why I hadn't noticed it before. I checked the version I still had in a previous download and it says "In the hopes that you don't show unnatural behavior、I earnestly thank you.". I believe this version sounds better.
It's also "show unnatural behavior" when Ageha is reading Irisu's journal in the 2nd ending.

Ageha.txt:

"Yeah、really." uses the Japanese font comma while the rest of the document seems to use a normal comma. It should be fixed for consistency.
"Geez、I really wish you'd stop that!(sweat drop)" - the same problem as above.
"I tried asking that、but it seemed he didn't care." - same as above.
"though she had some strange points" - "had" should be "has"
"This time it's not this lively, Alone with Satoru, I want to go somewhere quiet." - these need a rewrite.
""In that case, draw rabbits like the original material!" I said." - A comma should come after the quotations.
Last line. "Well since I'm a cat lover, It's better than cats" - A comma should go after "well" and "It's" shouldn't be capitalized.

Curtain Rise.txt:

Under Edogawa and Uuji, "dissapear" should be "disappear"

To Edo.txt:

"Like planned at our recent meeting, incorporate what we talked about into your story." - Sounds kind of awkward. Perhaps "As planned" or "As discussed". A complete rewrite could work as well. "Incorporate what we talked about at our recent meeting into your story." would sound like more natural English.

Used in Art Class.txt:

"Carrying the body of the rabbit, I leave the cage." - "cage" is the literal translation, but perhaps "pen" would be better in this context. It would seem kind of weird if Uuji was in a cage.
"I hid the rabbit's body in a bush in the corner." - "hid" should probably be "hide" because everything else is in present tense.
"Dead as if it was sleeping." - "was" should be "were"
"Varous thoughts ran through my head." - "varous" should be "various"
""We should be caeful"" - "caeful" should be "careful"
"What ever happened to the girl?" - whatever is one word
"Afte the rabbit died, nobody saw her again." - "Afte" should be "After"

That does it for everything but the normal Irisu end and the two longest text files. I didn't have much time to do stuff today, but tomorrow should be a little better.

I was lazy yesterday. My apologies. Went through Suicidal Rabbit Diary.txt today. I might get the last text file done in a few hours. There were quite a few problems with Ageha's name in this one and I didn't cover every instance of when it's messed up. Find/replace all instances of Age/Aki/Hatori/Hattori as needed.

"WHatever comes to mind I draw in my notebook one after another." - the h is capitalized in whatever
"Among that group, Age Hatori is the most cheerful." - Ageha's name. I'm unsure if "Ageha" is a nickname and this is correct or if this is a mistake.
"I left the notebook behild while using the restroom," - "behild" should be "behind"
"Look at a preson's notebook without permission." - "preson's" should be "person's"
"Even though she's near, there's four vacant seats between us." - "there's" should be "there are"
"Though I wouldn't ming giving them another look." - "ming" should be "mind"
"I disperse cat's lives in various ways." - "cat's" should be "cats'"
"Next to Edogawa Takeru is a broadly smiling Aki Hatori." - Ageha/Age's name is misspelled
"Edogawa Takeru and Aki Hatori started sitting close to me in class." - same as above
"Aki Hatori is strangely intimate with me." - same
"Aki Hatori saw the cat pictures." - same
"To think she'd look at a person't notebook without permission." - "person's"
"Aki Hatori seems like she's having a bit of fun." - the name. This keeps happening and it will take up too much space to put down every instance. Find/replace as needed.

"It's a matter of time before they think it's stange for me to always be wearing long sleeves." - "stange" should be "strange"

"I reember the rabbit picture books from somewhere." - "reember" should be "remember"

Oh yes, just jumping in to remind everyone, if you haven't grabbed the translation to that other game with a funky name, here it is.

Download it, play it, love it. I think this game sets up the mood a lot better than Irisu Syndrome. Irisu Syndrome likes to build it's atmosphere around depression and gloominess, giving you that feeling of being alone and isolated from everyone, whereas this other game starts off happy and stuff, and it CONTINUES happy, but they twisted it in a way that you see the bad stuff coming in the happy stuff. I got pretty damn scared while translating it, and even more while testing the endings.

Of course, they're both great games. Irisu's better because of the gameplay, and the overall story is much more dense, but this game is no pushover either.

If you got 20k points, then yes. You can't get any other ending now. If you want to get the 10k ending, you have to delete your save file and start over.

There's unlockables for 10k, 20k, 40k and 100k. 10k is the first ending, 20k is the second, 40k unlocks Metsu mode, which is the game's sequel, and 100k is DENSE.

If you want though, you can unlock Metsu by typing this code on the main menu screen: up, up, up, up, right, right, down. Then click the cat face that appears on the bottom right corner of the screen and you're good to go.

In the middle of those dark and gloomy days, being with him may have been the only happy moment of my childhood. One day, I came to my friend's cage to settle it down. The door was open. In the middle of the cage, I saw red liquid splattered all over. All that remained in the cage was its severed head. And the cat, licking the remains. To that cat, I

The one problem I have is with the last sentence. I dunno how to format it. I want to format it such that you reach the subject, I, and the object, cat, but never understand the verb, as in the original sentence 私はその猫を。 I wrote what I think could work, but I'm not happy with it. The rest is perfectly fine, though.

Oh, but I also am not entirely sure about the font sizing/etc. I wanted to make it so that the text would fit perfectly in the 640 x 480 pixel box, but I ended up having to muck with the sizing to get it to work. If anyone has any ideas, I'd like to hear...! Also, you can do whatever you want with my translation.

Innumerable thanks. Maybe you should be the one to translate Kai after all. In any case, I'll get 2.03 out in a bit.

The third IS game. It will amplify the plot and give us more answers. That's everything we know though, I hope that after seeing his work being translated Watson will boost his inspiration into releasing Kai sooner.

It's a sequel in-line with Metsu. I don't think there's any solid information on it yet.

run cmd.exe
In the command prompt, type:
CD (directory you put dxadecode.exe, it should be the same one as the .dxa file you want to decode)
dxadecode -K:shine (name of file you wish to decode)

encoding is as follows:
dxaencode -K:shine (name of folder you wish to encode) (name of file you wish to encode it to)

So has anyone actually confirmed that Irisu Syndrome Kai is going to be real? I've been told that the page it's revealed on:
http://members.jcom.home.ne.jp/wtetsu/a/

Is a joke page. Take a look at how some of the links go to a Doraemon meme, and how the Ai To Yuuki To Kashiwamochi sequel image is supposedly fake, too.

>>6475829
Yes, that's also a significant possibility. The Irisu Syndrome story is pretty fleshed out as it is, after all. On the other hand, that would make me sad, so instead I cling to hope.

Hahah, oh yeah. That's an April Fool's joke he did last year. A totally mean one (I want that IS expansion...) but a joke nonetheless. Incidentally, both Ai to Yuuki to Kashiwamochi and Irisu Syndrome have similar fake subtitles (both are pronounced Kai, AYK's meaning "meet unexpectedly" and IS's meaning "solution").

Don't worry, apparently he's going to comiket.
And apparently he has other game that it's an RPG but i don't know much about it.
And about my issue could someone please decode the DxLib thing and upload it please.
That would be helpful since i'm having troubles with it.
And also, i somehow managed to get the game to play all 6 songs of both modes in both modes.
I mean, that I could hear metsu songs on normal mode. Is it normal?
