Remembering my rank, I was just below chrome hero. That should be easy enough to grind to during the next minibeta. Silver hero though... looking at the points required I'd have to get quadruple what I currently have. Looks like I'm not getting that scarf... I did like 30 runs in the JP version and only got a buckler and beam machinegun.

40FLY is not hard, there are slotted Wing Plus AMJs in the game and jCB hands them by the dozen. If eCB will be the same with an UC Garapon, you'll just need to stick High Flight Beta onto them and some other parts.

I tried, all sorts of air, lnd, and art mechs, but you know, doing infinite stun combos by shoving art/air against a solid wall feels really really good. I don't think any other units makes you feel so good dealing massive burst damage other than an L mech with tuned Jet hammer.

I forgot the exact details, but I think it's the spider bot with winbell's drawguns and x2 bazooka is a deathtrap. It does so much damage, draws you into his team, and you can't do anything during his burst. I've died a few times from full hp of 600 because of it.
A second nasty combo is using an ART with stuff like gun arm mod's hand shot arms, rifle AMJ, x2 handy bazooka, gun arm mod BS, and any HD with weapon. It can pretty much shred any bot within seconds (easily 200-300 damage a second with PS/hypershot).

The spider bot and draw gun won't work without a draw gun now. basically what I'm trying to say is, you don't even have to try and make a good bot yourself if you have an ivis, or have to rely on power spots or hypershot (which you might not even have depending on the map). Ivis really isn't that good, to be honest. Amongst the more broken builds in the game, she's pretty tame.

Protip: If you absolutely can't keep your distance, jump over her as she starts her combo. You'll completely dodge the combo, and she'll be locked in it if she makes the second slash until about slash 5, giving you ample time to pound away her meager health. There's a reason only one person used Ivis in the clan tournament finals.

Dual-shielded Dogs are much more dangerous than Ivis, but thankfully only a handful of players in the english beta seem to have figured that out in comparison to the Japanese.

So, I got kicked from a game apparently for inactivity but I'm trying to show that my Pristol Q's Rising Wonder is absolutely useless and does nothing. I shot nothing so that I would see the difference over time.

I took two screenshots, when I first arrived and after I got shot. For all I can tell, just before I got kicked, it hadn't moved even slightly the entire time.

Being a healer is very easy actually, everyone gives you a dozen wonder drugs the moment they spot you healing. And I'm pretty sure there's an increased drop chance for wonder drugs. It helps that I do have a Medi Aide and a hundred spare repair bits, but still.

As someone who used a (muted version) hopper quite extensively, all you have to what you see someone with a flame thrower is get hit, turn around, fly off like a maniac due to the boost being on fire gives. You're out of the fight for a whole ten seconds while you cool off and turn around and go target someone who doesn't have a flamethrower.

If you want to play something that will kill hoppers play a support oriented towards it.

Drawguns for the ones without shields(Bugsys), Winberrl/Greinaut for the ones with Shields. If you can steer Ouka correctly, her combo+wind stun will also work if you can get them from behind. Alternatively, I've heard rumors that the laser nerf may not be in the english version, so if that's the case use lasers. Any laser will do fine.

The point is to stop hoppers from hopping around and putting them in burn condition so they fly and run away. (unless they have anti-burn), well if they do have anti-burn, then they are practically invulnurable unless they are hit by really good air, stardust cannon, whatever.

Why would you fly away when burned? You can still use short boost normally when on fire, the onyl danger is when the guy has paralyze tuneups, but in that case you're dead anyway.

Because they're going to chase you burning away, and being on fire while short boosting makes it a bitch to turn around and shoot them back because each time you land, you're propelled forward faster than you can turn. Same deal with paralyzer flamethrowers, but worse. You can escape a paralyzer flame thrower quite easily if you just try to fly away because eventually you'll get a second where you aren't paralyzed and that's all it takes to get airborn for a split second and blast away, whereas you're boned if you try to keep shortboosting.

Also, no, Bugsycait is the common hopper, not a hopper counter. He's that tiny mech and jumps around ridiculously fast with Middle Bazookas(Formerly Lasers) in the japanese matches. A lot of people used them in the clan tournament.

Hoppers are mediocre imo. I can take most down one on one with a M Lnd, although I'll be pretty worn out myself. Hopping drops their accuracy so much, they're missing as much as I am missing them. They're only powerful when there's tons of you going against him to a point where you are clustering yourselves for his random stray shots to hit

Right now the only things I do to hoppers is ignore them.

So I have this problem in jCB, it goes like this. Die by 3 hoppers targeting me, die by 4 hoppers targeting me, die by 3 hoppers targeting me, die by 3 hoppers targeting me, end up 29th place and kicked. Restart, rinse and repeat. If I carry burners I'm dead, if I stick with my teammates they scatter when hoppers come and I'm dead, if I hang back at the PS I shoot nothing until the hoppers come and I'm dead, if I go out to shoot someone before I'm dead I get surrounded by hoppers and I'm dead, if I try to outrange with Stardust canon/Izuna Kamui legs/Lily Rain skirt, or Destructor girl missile core I do very little damage until 3 or 4 hoppers target me and I'm dead or I can sit in the back doing no damage whatsoever until I'm dead.

29th place, 28th place, 26th place, 28th place, 27th place, 29th place, kicked kicked kicked kicked kicked kicked kicked kicked.

I have played support until I ran out of repair bits, I have played with a L air with stardust canon but it's slow and a target for every hopper in the game, I have played Frog Landers, I have played Winbell, I have played Sagitary Maxis and Destructor Girl. I have equipped burners and tried vines, I have tried machine guns and huge bazookas, all I end up with is dead, dead, dead, dead, dead.

I have broken every slot in my Frog Landers and in my Skultan (medium UC support). The only things I've ever successfully upgraded is a monocle and a bazooka for extra tech. I have almost no chips left for upgrades.

How do I get top 10 in every game? I see other members of Gaijin project get there, Minimatsu does it with a a Gawain and stardust cannons but I haven't got Rt to buy one, metal's done it with an Axcel Saber but it's hardly consistent.

What I want to know is, without spending money I don't have how do I kill hoppers and make it into the top 10?

They're cute and all, but they're way too low tier to play in jpCB arenas. I've tried myself, they can't last in jbCB, period. In terms of cheap and efficient bots, just god damn use the Accel Saber-GP like me. They're 20k UC each in shop or you can build them with the parts you've collected in the UC garapon if you got them. Build two of them, give them dual handy bazooka, and fire away. I know you don't like messing with the bots, but just give each of them an extra head that gives tec or walk and they'll do fine. When they level, just give them blast guard, sword guard, shell guard (in that order), and/or capacity upgrades whenever you run low. Hell, even Minamitsu runs a Accel Saber, but unlike me, he doesn't care about appearance, and run around with x2 grenade head for some scary alpha strikes

Not really, though they tend to have more balanced stats so you need to customize to get full use from them.

Chloroform, if you still keep those beginning Star Coins, go buy two Slot Protector Omegas, use Packet to get some Cosmo Harmonics and start giving a fuckton of TEC to your robots. Tune-up parts are not an issue when you have UC Garapon, I've gotten about 200 of each tune-up item there. Alternatively if you have tickets, you can run Berzelius, but wait for me if you're going to do this, after about 60 tune-up tries I'm running a tad low on materials too.

Now that I'm a hexagon, I fear what will happen when the normal areas are no longer available to me. It will most assuredly not be fun, but I guess the only new thing will be the clown arms and more frequent Ivis.

I grinded for hours for the rank reward which was a lucky cube with a free robot in it and after hours of frustration and being kicked from every room and swearing and getting pissed beyond belief because 40% of both teams are hoppers and after going through ALL my ammo and never dying I could expect to have done 400 points of damage and ending up rank 14 I finally got my bot!

It's a bot available in the shop for 2400 UC, a tiny little support bot that comes with a mini repair bit as his standard bit.

Seriously, I'm finished with Japanese Cosmic Break. I'll play for my Rt next month and I don't think I'll ever play that piece of shit again. I don't know why I put up with it for so long. There is now no way to kill hoppers unless you have $100 to spend.

So goodbye Japanese Cosmic Break! Can't say it was fun.

Looks like you need a robot with Broad Radar. Once you get it, you can ignore the hoppers and fly around all day hitting ARTs from the back with Izuna booster, doubly so in open stages like Green Field/Deep Forest/Glacier Night.

Besides, if you're AIR, you have no business getting hit by anything except railguns, Lily's skirt weapon and other AIR types with mini bazookas. Hoppers shouldn't be able to reach you.

Bad luck on that Daruma, though. I got a Bigmantes from my own first Lucky Cube.

Stupid boring UC weapons. I can't seem to get any weapon with both a high interval and speed without terrible force. I never thought I would miss ABR so much. And having a flying bot with more than 5 TGH. It's impossible to stay alive with a bot with only 3 TGH, 18 FLY, and about 200 HP. Might as well just be another hopper....

Look, I've done everything, I don't want to go around hitting art in the back, and you're not going to do more than 600 damage in a game in Japan anyway unless you're willing to upgrade your tech ... oh wait, you can't because all your parts will break because you don't have money for slot protectors and if you die ONCE you're stuck in the bottom 5. Upgrading tech is hardly an option because I've spent all my UC exchanging for Rt and I'm broke and grinding your Mate for cosmo harmanics will take 2000 hours.

I want to kill HOPPERS, I don't want to kill large arts, I don't want to kill air. There's 2 air and 3 large arts on each side and you'll have to get past the 12 hoppers on either side to reach them. The only solutions in this thread are "buy things for $100-300" or "make accel sabers and become a hopper yourself".

Heavens, what sort of CB are you playing? Whenever I play, there are only 3-4 hoppers and they die rather fast. When I see them, I fly beyond their range and bombard them with wisps, which easily hit (though I don't like doing so without a shell supply because it wastes precious wisp ammo that could be used on stationary targets like the ARTs. ) Besides, hoppers almost always target the powerspot anyway, so you know where to stay away.

AIR units with mini bazookas or lasers is a much greater threat, and so are the ledge-hugging ARTs.

I only rolled like 30k UC for UC garapon and got buttload of arms and shits instead of RT. By your rank, you should've made tons of UC to do shit with. You mainly get contribution by being on the enemy's face. Hoppers camp the enemy powerspot so they get a lot of it. Shooty typAIR/ART not so much, though it's possible to get lost and end up far in the enemy side to rack up huge contribution.
