Just here to remind you that nobody seems interested in actually translating Fate/Zero.

How about translating at a faster rate than one chapter every two months?

They're usually only 3-10 pages of text long.

I want them to be fast.

I don't really have a problem with Witch Hunt.

Over the course of maybe five months, they translate the full text of a visual novel and even alter/recreate background images in english.

Meanwhile, Beast Lair takes a full year to translate each Volume, and they're really lagging behind to even start Volume 4 proper.

Oh boy look at that strawman burn.

You asked what I want more. I want them to be less lazy. They're translating to please the fanbase, and they got lax over it. Backlash is to be expected.

You seem unable to grasp concepts as people having lives to attend over translating Japanese light novels. When someone does something out of good will and for free, the last thing you can do is lash them about it.

inb4 go learn Japanese.

They're not working for anyone if they're not working for their fans.

>You seem unable to grasp concepts as people having lives to attend over translating Japanese light novels.

Then give up the project and hand it to someone with more free time.

>When someone does something out of good will and for free, the last thing you can do is lash them about it.

And why not? You can admonish them for going past an acceptable patience threshold.

You seem to think that I hate them for translating it. I'm merely upset with them for diminishing hopes of a full translation in a reasonable amount of time.

It's a matter of entertainment after all.

Or, what, do you think Fate/Zero is supposed to be a timeless philosophical novel?

I think you should be grateful anyone is continuing translating it for you at all, and not talk shit about them because they may have more pressing business.
Posting Gilgamesh pictures doesn't make your self-entitlement any less retarded, either.

>And I'm not allowed to give commentary?

Sure, you can, but you're not really helping to make it advance.

>They're not working for anyone if they're not working for their fans.

There can be other reasons, like practicing the translation of the language, just for fun or whatever; each of those reasons implying reasons to leave the project.

>Then give up the project and hand it to someone with more free time.

Yeah, because, like, you lift a rock and lots of translators with knowledge, free time and will to do it appear in hundreds. Be serious, man.

>And why not? You can admonish them for going past an acceptable patience threshold.

Eh? No, I didn't think that, I just thought you went overboard with your complaints, like people who spam the "meanwhile in Witch Hunt" meme.

Which, you may have noticed already, I find not fun at all.

I am, though. I'm not upset in the slightest by the fact that it's being translated for free et al.
I'm still quite able to complain about them being very slow workers.
You can be grateful and critical at the same time, you know. It's very possible. I'm doing it right now.

>and not talk shit about them because they may have more pressing business.

Yet we have no proof they even HAVE more pressing business. It's assumed, since we know some are in college. You assume that they cannot afford to spare the effort, I assume they prefer not to spare the effort.

>Posting Gilgamesh pictures doesn't make your self-entitlement any less retarded, either.

I just post images. They're not intended to give or take weight from my arguments.

Then don't bother making promises.

You could at least bury your hatchet and leave a note if anyone wants to dig it up.

I just find them slow. I don't even consider Witch Hunt slow.

Promises? I don't remember them saying that they would translate it efficiently, fully and quickly. Correct me if I'm wrong.

>You could at least bury your hatchet and leave a note if anyone wants to dig it up.

Well, they aren't completely stalled, and they don't really complain about help, from what I've seen. So yeah, I guess that it's more a lack of people actually interested in translating it with enough knowledge and free time.

>I was just (basically) saying "news update: translators lazy" as a gag.

IT ESCALATED RAPIDLY!

Oho, and you seem to be fine with it!

I agree with you that the project is being slow, but this is better than nothing.

Let's face it.
Trolling aside, Witch Hunt is actually a rather fast group, despite their downtime.

>Then give up the project and hand it to someone with more free time.
you do know there's something like 4 translators on it, and that anyone who wants to contribute can do so, right?
