Japanese apparently don't care if they fish every single tuna out of the ocean though... the US nicely asked them to consider joining the multi-national tuna moratorium I think last year, and they said "hahaha... no". Now there's like, 1 or 2% as many tunas as there were 100 years ago.

It's funny, because tuna used to be considered terrible quality fish meat.. only good enough for dogfood and poor people. Same with lobsters. Fucking weird how that works, eh? I wonder if hot dogs and hamburgers will be a prized delicacy in 100 years?

The Minke whale classified as Least Concern, meaning it is nowhere near endangered.
There is even evidence that the Minke whale is hindering the recovery of the endangered Blue whale.
Japan is helping conserve the endangered Blue whale while Australia is killing it.

The ecosystem will never collapse, it will simply re-adapt.
Maybe some other species will go exinct, maybe we will see more or less of one particular species, but in the end, it just changes.
If those effects will be positive or negative is hard to judge, especially when we're talking about sea-based animals affecting land-based ones.

For humanity barely anything really matters, all we really need are farm animals and we can just breed them ourselves.
Same thing with plantlife.
