Well, being something of a dinosaur when it comes to video games, it was the apparent simplicity of the 2D manic shooter that drew me in first. I grew up in the age of arcades playing games like Gradius and Galaga for hours on end.

However, the canon (and sometimes non-canon) lore and manga really cemented my relationship with the games. Of course, moé character designs only compound the attraction.

Music > Games, although I appreciate the music more after hearing it in the games (but I liked it before I knew what touhou was). I actually don't fap to touhou, I'm not joking. I'm only on /jp/ for Remi's music threads and the music from the Comiket/M3/Reitaisai/Kouroumu/etc. threads.

I'm not a part of Touhou fandom. I just fap to touhou porn and save touhou images. I do it with a lot of things, even fucking naruto. There is no difference as long as my penis is pleased and the pictures look pretty.
