Hey /jp/, I was bored a few days ago and annoyed that F/HA is taking so long to TLC, so I ripped the current translations (http://vps.k-link.net/entrans/main.php)) into a patch.

pw is saber

You can install it by overwriting the patch dir from the previous release.... It works as far as I can tell, pic related.

Whats the %?

Was ~40% when I ripped.

HOLY SHIT,it actually moved!?

It was 31% when it was first released.

Yeah its noticeable, I'm not sure offhand how many new TL'ed scenes there were... but maybe 10-20 ?

Where's the place I can download the first patch? Is it that wiki, or have they set up a separate site/blog?

>> No.5836596

>>5836573

Yeah, theres a link to it from their wiki.

When I was ripping I noticed (and fixed) a lot of bugs with the scripts causing crashes/infinite loops, so if you see any of those screenshot it and I'll see what I can do.

>> No.5836845

OP, just curious, did you use the scripts from SVN or did you write your own (to reinsert the lines, that is)?

Also, if you really want current progress, remember that there are edited images and patches in SVN, too...

And yeah, sorry, TLC is indeed going slower than I hoped, I'm essentially rewriting about half of it :(

It's probably far more than that. Release1 was 25.8%, and almost none of it TLC/edited. Here's the list of scenes for Release2:

Check this page, especially for the (really annoying) wordwrapping bug:

I wrote my own. It was a bit troublesome to try to figure out the encoding of the files... but I got it working eventually -_-

Most of the bugs I found were from missing, capitalized, or malformed [lr]'s (is that what you mean by wordwrap?), inappropriate brackets, or leading whitespace. I wrote an autofix for most of these... but I didnt check all the scenes so who knows if it worked.

Keep up the good work though, you guys have made a lot of progress since January... so much so that I couldn't resist inserting the translations myself.

F/HA is a BIG Visual Novel.

Heh, thanks :) And I've actually toned down Arai's TL a bit ;_;

The WW-bug is actually in the WW patch itself, and it just causes mysterious (reproducible) crashes at certain points. Here's the fix (from the feedback page), put it into data/system:

http://vps.k-link.net/fha/ww_fix/mainwindow.tjs

Btw, all our files are UTF-8, lines are LF-ended (i.e. Unix-style), but they need to be converted back to SJIS-WIN for the game to work (UTF-16 *might* work, too).

Btw, the main Entrans webface only gives you the TLC'ed portion when you click "download". There's a more experimental copy of it running on the same server that attempts to pick the best current non-TLCed line - doesn't work quite like I want it to, but it'd have saved you quite a bit of effort :)

I'll only care about this if I get some pajama Rin.

Hmm, Ive been playing through rather furiously so its strange that I haven't encountered this bug yet. Thanks for the fix I guess.

Btw, when I said I 'autofixed' I meant locally, these bugs still exist in the SVN, I think there are 100+ instances with missing [lr]'s alone (but that should be easy for you guys to fix with a script).

Yeah, I easily understood the format you guys used, but the game files were more of a mystery (I hate shiftjis now). Oh well, trial and error is always fun.

As for the image...
I think a translation like that is suitable for avenger, it fits with his character. I'm not qualified to say whether its actually a good translation though...
