There were some talk about an anime but it looks like it didn't go far.
It's a question of connection I guess.

They would screw it up.

As much as I want to see Ririko animated, they would ruin it entirely.

Because Shuffle! will get attention more.

Same reason you see hentai being sold as 'fanservice anime' so it'll sell more and be shown on TV.

A whole episode is just going to be on this. And don't get me wrong, it's cute and all but it doesn't need a fucking whole episode.

All VN adaptations are inherently bad.

I can't see how they would make the twist in sharin work in an anime.

I'm more surprised there hasn't been a kirakira anime yet.. considering how popular anime with girls playing music in it is..

I can think of a number of ways the Ririko twist could work:

Cheap and easiest way: unreliable narrator, we literally never see her and in the reveal when ken acknowledges her, her form materialises like some sort of phantom and they call it a metaphor.

Subtle way: It never says she sticks that close to him; we could just have an inconspicuous shadow or movement in the background a few times every episode.

Troll way: It's revealed in the very beginning and we get to see Ririko doing absolutely everything yet never saying a word or interacting, and anime-only watchers start wondering 'who the fuck is she'

The important thing about Harry Potter was never the plot. It's the slice of life events at school that made me fall in love with the books.
Besides, Hollywood can make adaptions of books easily because most Americans never read.

It wouldn't be the same just having a shadow. She was mentioned several times in the narrative as if she was clearly visible, and the only problem was that you could never figure out who they were talking about.

Also, there has never been a really good anime adaptation of a VN. Multiple routes and 50 hours of content turned into an anime does not turn out well.

An anime could work, and it doesn't even need a very large budget...but it MUST have a good director who can bring the mood across properly.

Also, in Sharin's case, it would be awesome to tell a story from a new Special High-Class Person candidate's perspective following Ken's bad end route; players of the game will be extremly hot to watch it, even if the actual plot is similiar to Sharin's, which will mean it can't be spoiled and it wouldn't make any difference to anime-only watchers, who might be like OMG what's up with this cocksucker Morita, but only we know his history.
