So, why is there no anime adaptation of this while other shit, like shuffle!, has?

>> No.5678659

Because :
- bad taste
- lazy directors who can't figure how to manage the twist

>> No.5678655

Why would you want one? It's just going to be ruined.

>> No.5678660

There were some talk about an anime but it looks like it didn't go far.
It's a question of connection I guess.

>> No.5678664

They would screw it up.

As much as I want to see Ririko animated, they would ruin it entirely.

Because Shuffle! will get attention more.

Same reason you see hentai being sold as 'fanservice anime' so it'll sell more and be shown on TV.

A whole episode is just going to be on this. And don't get me wrong, it's cute and all but it doesn't need a fucking whole episode.

It's a shame. Ken is such a badass

Animated it would be boring and short.

The Ririko reveal would just look incredibly stupid in anime form.

I can't see how they would make the twist in sharin work in an anime.

I'm more surprised there hasn't been a kirakira anime yet.. considering how popular anime with girls playing music in it is..

>> No.5679272

I can think of a number of ways the Ririko twist could work:

Cheap and easiest way: unreliable narrator, we literally never see her and in the reveal when ken acknowledges her, her form materialises like some sort of phantom and they call it a metaphor.

Subtle way: It never says she sticks that close to him; we could just have an inconspicuous shadow or movement in the background a few times every episode.

Troll way: It's revealed in the very beginning and we get to see Ririko doing absolutely everything yet never saying a word or interacting, and anime-only watchers start wondering 'who the fuck is she'

>> No.5679278

>>5679221 I can't see how they would make the twist in sharin work in an anime.
I Don't see why.
Sure, it would mean for the director to be more creative than using shot/reverse shot all the time.

>> No.5679310

>>5679272
Subtle way sounds best.
Troll way would be ridiculous.

>> No.5679320

>>5679272
Neither of those ways would work because there would be millions of trolls trying to spoil it as soon as possible.
Which is one reason why an anime adaption would flop, no point in a plot driven series where everyone already knows the plot.

Quite a few residents of /a/ wouldn't know.

Try looking at the archive. But your problem is probably that you're using a piss-poor browser built in ftp extension rather than a proper client/command line usage.

>> No.5679336

>Subtle way: It never says she sticks that close to him; we could just have an inconspicuous shadow or movement in the background a few times every episode.

That's what I thought would work as well.

Then nothing can be adapted, retard.
By that kind of logic, they wouldn't even try to make Harry Potter movies.

>> No.5679359

>>5679337
That won't even get mentioned. The Mana threesome will be heavily implied to have taken place though, even though it was just a dream in the fandisk.

>> No.5679384

>>5679345
The important thing about Harry Potter was never the plot. It's the slice of life events at school that made me fall in love with the books.
Besides, Hollywood can make adaptions of books easily because most Americans never read.

It wouldn't be the same just having a shadow. She was mentioned several times in the narrative as if she was clearly visible, and the only problem was that you could never figure out who they were talking about.

Also, there has never been a really good anime adaptation of a VN. Multiple routes and 50 hours of content turned into an anime does not turn out well.

>> No.5679428

because the anime wouldn't give anything new
It has good art, voices, plot and characters, the anime would only animate it poorly.

>> No.5679432

>>5679413
They could keep the references during conversation.
You'd just think "What're they talking about?" like in the VN.

Why are we discussing this? It'll never happen.

>> No.5679467

um
wow

i never read this VN

the main character has this chick that shadows him 24/7 and no one comments on it?

>> No.5679531

>>5679320
True,, but htey make that up by already having an established fanbase, and while some of the orginal fanbase will ditch the adaptation, they can be sure to pick up new fans as well due to the new media.

>> No.5680201

An anime could work, and it doesn't even need a very large budget...but it MUST have a good director who can bring the mood across properly.

Also, in Sharin's case, it would be awesome to tell a story from a new Special High-Class Person candidate's perspective following Ken's bad end route; players of the game will be extremly hot to watch it, even if the actual plot is similiar to Sharin's, which will mean it can't be spoiled and it wouldn't make any difference to anime-only watchers, who might be like OMG what's up with this cocksucker Morita, but only we know his history.
