The Japanese are slowly but steadily killing off every species of whale swimming within their territorial waters. Soon the sea surrounding the Japanese isles will be completely devoid of whales because of this relentless hunting.
How would a Japanese parent describe the sound of a whale to his children if they have never or heard a whale in their life because they've all been hunted into extinction?

Whales don't even fucking MATTER.

I mean it. Whales mean little to the ecosystem.

What the fuck does it matter if they die out? Giant squid and krill populations boom? BIG DEAL.

Whale oil is used to make the paints that go into traditional japanese sexy anime figurines. As of yet, there is no synthetic replacement for these whale oils that have the same performance metrics necessary to make sexy anime figurines. Think about it, what matters more some stupid whale or sexy anime figurines which you can actually own(unlike a whale).

What? Are you some sort of Australian or homosexual? Do you even know the number of whale species and how they affect the ecosystem? Do you even know that they aren't doing anything illegal?

Your problem isn't with Japan. It's with PETA.
