No, you actually hit on it exactly. You see, you ignore the deeper conflicts surrounding our thread because you are just a casual poster.

Whether you want to believe it or not, the idol wars have been waging here and thrust upon us. Ever since 2 and half months ago when a group of board /jp/ haters enlisted the skills of spambot tripfags to start their assault.

It boiled to a steaming point around the time Mano was announced not to be going to AX but her own event. Ever since then the main trolls have mainly stepped back and just relied on the spam scripting flooders to disrupt any discussion and make moderation from level headed janitors almost impossible.

But I feel that this weekend and expo really was a demonstration of everything I knew to be true.

And although the flooders and trolls have attempted to break up any reporting of the events here they cannot destroy the coolness of this Expo.

As for bringing in new people, well we did have that one French anon pop in for a day or two but he disappeared during the Expo and the threads were so ravished by non stop spamming I doubt it seem worthwhile to post anything.

Anyways, long story in short, moderation has become bitter and entangled by a cohort of 2D bullies and tripfags. Whatever good moderator or steady janitor we had three months ago was chased out by the old corrupt guard. Signs point to a new troll janitor being enlisted to allow and continue to do nothing about probably around 20,000 spam images+ over the course of the months.

I'll give to the H!O fags, they were able to have a pretty good Japan Expo thread bar the usual lingo there if you read it.

Last week was exhausting as hell, but rewarding as heaven. Japan Expo surpassed AX by far a lot for me, but that's cause I am more experienced now than before.
The memories I made with waifu were far better from what I expected them, and hopefully she will remember me til the next time we meet (which may be on fall tour)
