What's to like about Alice?

She's a loner with a bad personality who sits inside all day by herself, surrounded by dolls. Who would want that sort of life?

Actually, maybe that's why I like Torinone so much, even if his character designs are kind of manly - he's capable of 1) pairing Alice with someone other than Marisa 2) in a relationship where she's not totally dependent. Marisu is fine, too, because the idea of such a rabid Alice fangirl is just too great.

Man, Alice isn't even my favorite character, I don't know why this gets to me like it does.

I loved the Alice roleplayer, and I love Alice, most of the time.

Canon Alice is pretty well sociable but she spends MOST (not all) of her time studying magic and crafting dolls or doing doll-related stuff. However that doesn't make her a lonely girl without any friends or a psycho or having a huge homolust for Marisa like most of the fandon is.

They feel uncomfortable because she don't give them much attention since she is focusing on her daily things. Also the house does have lots of dolls and other strange magic items all around. I think everyone would be at least surprised to see a house full of "living" dolls doing all kind of stuff.

I mentioned earlier that she's the closest thing that ZUN has created to a character with Asperger's Syndrome. She's entirely focused on doll crafting and how to make her magic work with them, and is said to be really powerful but holds back because she enjoys the strategy aspect. She's also somewhat functional and puts on puppet shows to entertain people.

The fact that she lives alone in a secluded area doesn't help her case.
